Its just been a decade of bizarre behavior and it actually made me laugh that Rickky would even know of Avril Lavigne, given her initial success was two decades ago and yet he and the other trolls act like Jackies initial success 12 years ago is not important or critical.

I've always liked that Avril Lavigne song, it would be a fun song for anyone to cover. Good for Olivia Rodrigo to have her as a guest, and good for Avril Lavigne for getting her song to a younger audience. I loved how Olivia and her audience gave Avril Lavigne such a warm welcome, I understand Avril hasn't toured in a long time. Something like this could change her mind.
That was in April of 2022 so if nothing else it must of felt good to sing at a concert and be cheered on by everyone after a five year layoff.

In the same way Olivia was apprehensive to sing at an arena for her first tour which was in way to small of venues. Billy Joel had her in singing in front of one of his Madison Squire Gardens arena concerts.
I bet Olivia Rodrigo won't make that mistake twice.

Jackie never had that initial success that Avril Lavigne had. Everyone at Olivia's concert seemed to know the words to Avril song, even if it had been 13 years ago when she first released it. It's not that Jackie doesn't have the voice its that she was always to lazy to come up with her own music, she probably gets it from dear old dad. |

Wrong Cait  Pretty sad when a 84 year old is doing more than someone that is 23! Not everyone tours like that. Its expensive and you have to do alot of dates to make back the cost of staying on the road. With Jackie's health issues physical too its going to take a while before she can tour extensively, people here like to put expectations on her but they dont get the full story about their moppets or Jackie. Why can't you handle honest, objective, common sense comments like the one I made here without resorting to name calling. Grow up msims. Your idea here is a horrible one. Jackie has gone the covers route and it's dried up for her. COT was a disaster. She is on the best path that is left for her, and that is to release an album of originals, hopefuly promote it well, and hope for the best. Suggesting that she go back to old classic covers after the COT debaucal is moronic. Use your head and learn from the past. |
