Haven't you been paying attention? She's going to put out a new album of her original songs. What's the mystery? LoL...but when...she didn't say this year. Won't be anytime too soon...she just released an album four months ago. And part of the mystery is what is her concert schedule for 2023? Nothing scheduled so far. Here's what Melody Place said on October 11th 2022, "This is a special album that is setting the stage for Jackie’s overwhelmingly honest original music coming next year."

Yeah, I saw that. But does that mean some singles posted on YouTube? Does it mean singles released by Melody Place? Does it mean an album released by Melody Place in 2023? I don't think so. Someone made the comment on Jackie's most recent Instagram post that he hoped she released a new album in 2023, and she responded something to the effect of "um....i just released an album...Carousel of Time". It's too soon for another whole album of originals this year I think. Perhaps she'll test the waters by posting/releasing singles like she did with that Xmas Song a couple weeks ago. Listen, I'm all for a new album this year and a bunch of new concert dates to go with it. It just seems that it's too soon after her last album to talk about another one this year, not to mention I get the impression she's a long way from having enough original material for a whole album...although I do believe she is working on writing new songs. Time will tell on all of that, but you are right, Melody Place did in fact make that comment. And I'd love to be wrong on the timing of an album full of Jackie original music...the sooner the better. lol

I wouldn't be surprise if she did released an album

Well that is good news I bet hollywoodreporter never expected him to come out and set things straight.
Even if Coppola hadn't addressed it, I wouldn't have been that concerned. Coopola is a mercurial person who fires people who can't make the grade. He got rid of a bunch of people during the filming of Apocalypse Now. He knows what he wants and just gets rid of those who want to do things their way instead of what he told them to do. A lot of people in Hollywood aren't used to working with old-time directors who run every aspect of the production. They get a bit entitled with their input and try to force their ideas. Coppola's films are not a democracy. Turns out the rumors came from the camp of someone who was fired. As a general rule, I only pay attention to rumors like this when the actors are dropping out. Since they seem to be on board, it was likely bs from someone throwing a hissy fit because Coppola threw him overboard.

It's a little different also since he is putting up his own money, he doesn't have to listen to anyone else.

Since they seem to be on board, it was likely bs from someone throwing a hissy fit because Coppola threw him overboard. Coppola is using a virtual LED set that surrounds the actors with a virtual environment in which they can be filmed in from almost any angle. In the article that Grace Fan posted: Reading between the lines it seems that the virtual (LED) environment within which the filming takes place was not as complete as Coppola wanted, and the VFX crew was not able to produce/add them within the timeframe required by the shooting schedule. So he basically said, 'OK, we'll add them in post, you guys go home' or something to that effect. It doesn't seem like a big scandal, but rather a director's vision not totally able to be realized in camera. The basic digital set was probably there for the scenes to be shot, but then Coppola will bring back a VFX crew later to add more digital eye candy. This kind of tech was used in The Mandalorian and was pretty impressive.

I'm just laughing at the idea of a few nobody millennials getting triggered because a director who is financing the movie and has five Oscars and six Golden Globes wants things done his way. Fired. Next.

Jeff Beck (1944-2023) died on Tuesday of bacterial meningitis.
Rather than me typing up an obituary, just read up on him in Wikipedia and watch a few YT vids if you weren't familiar with him. He is a legend in music history. I have albums of his going way back, including my favorites: Truth (1968) and Blow by Blow (1975). This is hitting hard for most music lovers, I'm sure.
Rick Beato's RIP (20 mins long - skip if not interested)
One of my favorite performances of his, "Cause We Ended As Lovers" from Live at Ronnie Scott's (2008)
