Is it my imagination or is Jackie's face looking really thin?  Everyone knows who thinks that answering with cartoons is clever, but doesn't realize that it is already passé. |

Is it my imagination or is Jackie's face looking really thin? Maybe it's because she's not wearing any make-up. I'm not sure, but you can really see the ribs in her chest in one of the pics she posted on Instagram yesterday. That concerned me. She has a life threatening disease…and this won‘t change as long she really fight it, addresses it …stops her music „career“… making this photoshoots etc. … She has to leave all the dangerous environment…Mrs Turino etc. No more public… |

She has to leave all the dangerous environment…Mrs Turino etc. Someone that if anything is trying to encourage her confidence? That doesn't make sense. Coming from someone who probably thinks she should have taken years off five years ago to go to Julliard and become an actual classical singer (regardless of what she wants), that idea is rather suspect. I care about Jackie the person, I wish more would feel the same way!I don’t want to see Jackie end up like Karen Carpenter! Oh stop 🛑 with all the other people in the world 🌎 talking point! That’s just passing the buck! I have been following Jackie for over a decade and I do care what happens to her! Today’s society has become so callous where many have the same opinion as some on this forum has!

I don't know about you, but I care a LOT more for people I've seen and even briefly met and spoken to than I do for the 8.1 billion minus maybe one or two hundred that I've never met nor seen in person. The rest are people to those who have at least that much direct contact with them, but are just statistics to all the other billions, and I have trouble pretending to feelings for statistics, although I have been known to donate for natural disasters even though I don't live nearby or know anyone where it happened - the sort of thing I'd hope others might do if one struck near me. On the scale of such things, I'd put close relatives and friends high, but the rest I'd put somewhat on what their uniqueness brings as well as on the degree of awareness of them as a person, not just a (insert job here). A waitress where I'm a regular may bring the correct order with a smile and even remember what I drink (95%+ of the time unsweet iced tea with lemon if they have it, very easy) - and get a good tip for it, but there are others that can do that too, at the same place as well as at others. But a waitress doesn't do anything to help my equanimity when I'm driving or when I need it, with just a Siri command to play their songs. :-) |
