You carried on for months about the Winery gigs having low turn out and I asked you at the time: why wasnt those shows cancelled? I suspect the Winery shows lost money or just broke even. They were not cancelled because because cancelling the shows would lose even more money. That's because rent has to be paid even if the venue sits empty. Employees have to be paid even if they don't work. That is why they didn't cancel. Here's a question for you. If the Winery gigs made money, why haven't they booked any Jackie gigs for 1-1/2 years since her last COT gig? Why haven't they announced any Solla gigs? And, the winery makes money on the food purchased...no way to predict how much would be purchased each night by ticket holders, or how many walk-ins there might be. The Italy thing was a far greater expense and commitment than one night in a restaurant, so you could see how that might be cancelled if ticket sales were low.

Has anyone listened to Lost and Found and Broken Things off of Solla? Are they good? You can listen to Solla if you open a free Spotify account. I have listened to all the Solla songs but I have no opinion of Jackie's music since I am not a fan of her music. I am a fan of her career.

Success or failure on something like the Winery shows depend as much or more on the meals sold as the tickets. Like a casino, they use acts to get you in the door to waste money. Someone who sells out but whose fans are penny pinchers will be less attractive to the venue than someone with 80% capacity and fans that live it up with drinks and food.

I have listened to all the Solla songs but I have no opinion of Jackie's music since I am not a fan of her music. I am a fan of her career. Wow - never knew Spotify had free streams thanks! Lost and Found and has a real groove - that is the upbeat sound that I was looking for. Broken Things is also upbeat - not quite as memorable, but it's a decent tune. Get Out of My Life is really good - like it! I'd rank the 6 songs like this: 1) Lost and Found - groovy - liked the snapping fingers intro 2) Get Out of My Life - I'm digging the full-length version 3) Behind My Eyes 4) Smoking Gun - cool guitars 5) Broken Things - Jackie gets into it. 6) Consequences - the changes in beat is cool After listening to the whole CD, I'm a little more optimistic. Overall, it's pretty good. Hopefully Lost and Found gets released and gets some airplay.

Has anyone listened to Lost and Found and Broken Things off of Solla? Are they good? I think they are pretty good. Why dont you buy them..they are only 1.39 per song? After listening to the Debut and COT on youtube and not caring for the songs I did not buy them. I buy music if I like the music and will buy this EP.

I just gave the Solla EP a good listen. People, it's a fu**ing good collection of songs. I've been under the impression that the whole EP was Jackie whining about her mental issues, but it's not all about that. I need some lyric videos to understand what she's talking about, but a few of them have to do with a relationship gone bad, I think. Anyway, I'm not a lyric person, so regardless of what the songs are about, the songs are good. Rich production kept my head bobbing through every song. Finally something from Jackie that excites me. I think there is some explanatory value in these songs, but since I can't make out the words, I'll have to wait for the lyric videos. This is a listenable-as-hell album.
4.5 out of 5 for musical interest.
5 out of 5 for being something from Jackie that I can sink my teeth into.
4 out of 5 for incomprehensible lyrics. Maybe it's my hearing, but Jackie isn't known for enunciation. Still good.

Maybe it's my hearing, but Jackie isn't known for enunciation. Still good. I think it's a combination of my hearing loss in the 8k to 15k range, and compression. Overly compressed songs have a tendency to mash vocals and music into the same dynamic range. I hear very few modern songs that are vocals-forward. It's not a criticism, just a fact. My preference is vocals-forward by a scosh so that the singer is a wee bit closer to you in the soundstage. It's not a big deal, and I'm fine with lyric videos, but I would love to see the lyrics if anyone knows where to find them. After all, these are Jackie originals, so it would be nice to know what she's trying to say. If anyone can write them into a post, I'd appreciate that.

I have 14 years of knowledge and perspective, ive always posted facts and I only deal in evidence, but one has to be able to prove it, not just give biased theories. Please take your own advice and actually start posting facts instead of just making up stuff like you usually do.

Hey I am a Jackie fan but posting nonsense like msims ,doesn’t do Jackie any favors, as Jack web always said Facts and only the facts , I am paraphrasing!

I'd also like to see Get Out of My Life get some airplay. It's very addictive and upbeat, just like BME. lol Actually, I'd drop L&F to 4th, and put Smoking Gun at 3. Hey, I just realized ranked these songs in the exact order that they appear on the EP. Mabye Jackie or Greg rank them the same way? lol
