I wonder how she got Mike to agree with this. They know they wont make much money off of song sales...this is all about getting exposure for her songs and trying to build her fan base. The more people who hear her material, the better. |

I wonder how she got Mike to agree with this. Presumably they get paid fractional pennies just like for "free" streaming. Sooner or later, "free" for those who would prefer not to pay, will become a disaster rather than an opportunity. Just a question of how long it takes. Still, any place that the tracks might be heard is publicity, although one has to make some money somewhere for publicity to have any value. |

Unless you can name a video he (and not a label) took down within at least the most recent five years, you're complaining about ancient history. Anyone that can talk and listen will eventually learn things. No he wasn't on the leading edge or close to it. He's someone who would just as soon have stayed known only to relatives, a few friends and others he dealt with regularly. The give away free stuff so maybe some people will pay you for other stuff business model is hard to learn for someone that's run small private businesses where you don't give away anything* because you can't afford to. * you may of course call something like setup assistance "free", but it's actually included in the selling cost. |

You are mistaken Look how long the "free" TV and "free" radio models have lasted. Not free. Either advertising, or donors (PBS/NPR). Either way, I have to listen to what I don't want in exchange for what I maybe want. Well, not so much; mute button. But the advertising is part of the cost of what's advertised. Sometimes it could actually make that lower (by increasing sales), sometimes it might make it higher. I'd rather have everything subscription that I pay for and purged of advertising and fundraising and attempts to influence the content for any purpose other than obtaining more subscribers. I have a LITTLE more control if I really am the customer, than I have if the advertisers are the real customer. Same with social media, it's "free" but the users have their information sold AND are unpaid content providers. That's crazy, the users ought to get paid if they post content that gets sufficient hits. Again, for anything but air, "free" is a lie that eventually (whether years, decades, or longer) does more harm than good. I do not care if it helps millions until it collapses, they're both losers and delusional if they need "free". The closest thing to free other than air is something given voluntarily with no expectation of profit, attention, brownie points in heaven, or any other benefit to the giver in exchange for their giving. You think free stuff is needed to help people, give to charity, preferably anonymously and without claiming a deduction. Otherwise you're just a hypocrite. Or a socialist who thinks government should decide how much people can keep, and how much should be spread around. |

If Jackie was raised by a normal family growing up, she wouldn’t be having all these problems now! I don't know Colt, I think it's far to easy too just blame the parents for everything. Sure they made mistakes, but a lot of teenage girls get eating disorders who never had the pressures of being a celebrity or parents who seem "abnormal". I think eating disorders are mostly all about the individual and how they view and process things internally, and often those around them have no idea they are thinking this way until it's too late and symptoms start presenting themselves to the outside world. |

That is just one of the problems that has hurt Jackie! The oldest was jealous of Jackie , didn’t like all the attention she was getting!

ROFL....Juliet being a transgender had absolutely nothing to do with Jackie's eating disorder. True, Juliet was jealous...both Jackie and Juliet have acknowledged that. But siblings being jealous of each other is normal. |
