So im going to explain to you and richard the numbers: THE PRODUCER said "they (as in spotify) are robbing all of your favorite artists" thats a quote. Wake up. If you want to give confidence to Jackie, perhaps not buying into the word salad trolling of a stalker. http://instagram.com/p/C-ITp1YOUHL
I have to wonder if Sims ever reads the things he posts. He certainly doesn't understand what Camp is talking about since IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW ARTISTS GET PAID.
What Camp is referring to is that how Spotify treats songwriters - not recording artists. Spotify signed an agreement with labels. The labels took care of themselves and their artists (not out of altruism but to get them to approve streaming) and Spotify took care of itself but no one was negotiating for the songwriters. They get screwed as they get a fraction of what the artists do and it is often split with an artist and producer who get fake songwriting credits as well as often having multiple songwriters involved. What Camp is referring to is that Spotify now has books on demand to stream and packages that allow you to get a cheaper price per month by bundling them together. This marginally affects the artists but is devastating to the songwriters since the book authors are placed with the songwriters and not the artists. That is what he is talking about by "stopping bundling."
This is kind of hilarious since in the last thing you tried to post to make this argument (The Black Keys), they said they were completely ok with Spotify and their problem was with their label. Not that I expect consistency from you but it's obvious you are just throwing stuff at the wall hoping something will stick. For the record, I have said that songwriters are constantly getting screwed over but that has always been the case unless they are among the elite who produce top hits on a consistent basis (e.g., Max Martin).

But the person who does care is the Queen of Mean... WOWEEE!!!! I am sooooooo thrilled to have won this award, as certified by Simsy! It is the epitome of everything I hoped to accomplish! It's very unexpected, and I had to call the local engraving shop to put a rush on my trophy! When is the awards ceremony? I have to get my hair done, and inform everyone to watch. It's such a whirlwind! I would like to thank everyone who believed in me from Day One! Hugs and Kisses!!!!! You just got lucky there and won the lottery, Disappointed. You are merely a circus freak act, the little JDSer with a big mean voice. (lol...see what I did there?).

From two different sources, first from www.charlescleyn.com/blog/which-streaming-service-pays-more Napster: $0.019 Per Stream, 53 Streams For $1 Tidal: $0.01284 Per Stream, 77 Streams For $1 Apple Music: $0.00783 Per Stream, 100 Streams For $1 Youtube Music: $0.00069 Per Stream, 136 Streams For $1 Deezer: $0.0064 Per Stream, 178 Streams For $1 Spotify: $0.00437 Per Stream, 228 Streams For $1 Amazon Music: $0.00402 Per Stream, 249 Streams For $1 Soundcloud: $0.0019 Per Stream, 526 Streams For $1 Pandora: $0.00069 Per Stream, 752 Streams For $1 Second, from explodingtopics.com/blog/music-streaming-statsStreaming Platform Proportion of Subscribers Spotify 30.5% Apple Music 13.7% Tencent Music 13.4% Amazon 13.3% YouTube Music 8.9% Netease 6.1% Yandex 2.2% Deezer 1.5% Others 10.2% So Spotify pays a lot less (average), but most get more streams via them, although not necessarily enough to get the same amount of cash from them as from better paying services. (I use Apple Music, higher quaiity audio and pays out more than double what Spotify does.) Lots of other stats in the 2nd article. For all but the biggest, there's certainly room to complain that it's gotten rougher out there. Perhaps almost anyone can make a tiny bit of money now (whereas most were entirely shut out of music distribution once), but of those making something, most are probably making less.

Sabrina Carpenter - Taste (Official Video) has been out for almost an hour and has about 700k views it looks like it will hit the 1 million mark before the end of the day. Getting Jenna on board worked, Jenna is promoting it from her own instagram page. http://instagram.com/p/C_A91scJlNt http://instagram.com/p/C_A_k-4p5_h Jenna Ortega is also a director of slasher movies so I bet she helped directed this.

My life doesn’t involve unlike yours: taking stool softeners due to the constipation from the bath salts binges you go on Caz. Good luck with that. Taco Bell isn’t your buddy btw. Stay strong. I found your picture next to the word sychofant in the dictionary, but in your case it is psychofant

Since you obviously cannot bother to do any research on your own, I guess I have to break it down into small chunks for you. Here is the actual practice Camp is protesting:
In particular this:
Again, it has nothing to do with the artists' payments except in the cases where they were also songwriters. Since I have never used the songwriters portion when calculating potential income, it has no bearing on anything I have said. The payment as recording artists is unaffected since, as mentioned in the article, the practice only affects the mechanical royalties. Mechanical royalties are one of the two areas where the songwriters and publishers get paid. It does not affect the songwriters cut from the performance section nor does it affect the recorded music section. The breakdown between mechanicals, performance, and recordings are given here:
You manage to prove once again you do not understand how the industry works, you have no idea what anything you post refers to, and you have no idea how to figure it out. You merely search the web looking for something that you superficially think supports your position without ever bothering to understand what is actually being said.
By the way, every artist has the right to block their material from Spotify and some have done so for political reasons. If they were treating everyone so poorly, artists could bring Spotify to its knees ... but no one who matters does. Even Greg Camp still has his stuff on Spotify so it all rings a bit hollow. The reason is that anyone with a significant following is making good money on Spotify as artists. Those who are primarily songwriters get screwed because few songs are streamed because of who wrote it.

Some of the services at the bottom of the payment scale are either radio services like Pandora or ad supported. Spotify has two services - a free ad supported and a paid and the payments are different for each. However, once you get into the hundreds of thousands of streams per month for an artist, it statistically approaches an equilibrium point. Amazon also has two tiers. The services that are completely paid such as Apple will pay the most.

He certainly doesn't understand what Camp is talking about since IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW ARTISTS GET PAID. Once again projection: It's all apart of the total package if you want to make it big. You need to stream, make music videos which may cost you thousand of dollars have a social media presence and do concerts and possibly physical media but that is not to important now day. That is if you wish to sell out Madison Square Gardens or other arenas and why you never hear of them saying on part of their career such as streaming is cheating them. Million of people learns artist songs from streaming so that they can sing along at concerts.

Once again projection: Since you obviously cannot bother jackie-amazon.proboards.com/post/90378I already posted Greg's post prior in the above link as well as his past comments and months ago Luke Combs talking about songwriters. I am the one discussing songwriters getting screwed and artists. You are just making excuses. 20 minute mark.

From what I have seen, lottery winners and circus freaks can milk that for at least 14 years by basically lounging around and doing not much of anything.
