There are a couple of things that could be done to clean up a little. RECOMMENDATION 1: Take all the election posts out of Off-Topic and put them in a thread called "2024 Election" and put that thread in POLITICS BOARD –> POLITICS where it belongs. RECOMMENDATION 2: Lock the Off-Topic thread to moderator access only. Use it for the purpose it was created: to move posts out of "General Discussion" that don't belong there and don't have a clear place to move them to. RECOMMENDATION 3: Pin the latest "General Discussion" thread to the top. We're coming up on "General Discussion: Entertainment - etc - #5" so it would be nice if it's obviously the one at the top. Crazy idea: Rename them all to " Main Discussion: ...#1,#2,#3... etc." There is a MAIN CATEGORY –> MAIN BOARD heirarchy. It would be nice (for outsiders especially) to have a followable path to the "main thread" of the where most of the Jackie/entertainment discussions take place. Micro manage much? lol Who's managing anything? I made a suggestion. Of course you and colty like the way things are, because you turned a thread into a playground for your memes (and colty's obsequious puppy dog me-too's). There is already a playground with three-hundred politics threads where your posts would still be seen by the many millions who you're eloquently trying to persuade. I'm only trying to persuade SoCal to step up his Admin game a little. He's a good moderator, but he needs a maid to clean up his messes. What's wrong with wishing the forum be more organized? I don't care about your political opinions, just that you put them in the place that was made specifically for them. Simple. |

I think it’s good the way it is! Yes there is not enough going on with Jackie that things need to change now.
You really have to do some searching to find something new going on with her. It's not as if she is on any popular list.
But of-course that is her and her team/Mike doing.

I'm not saying bury them. Posts made in the Politics forums come as the latest-post on the Home page just like all posts do. Activity is activity. They'd actually be more visible because if someone's looking for politics discussions, why would they look in the "Main Board" of the "Main Category" of a Jackie forum? Nothing would change about Jackie being in another dry period. When things are slow it's a good time to dust the shelves. |
