I will begn moving things this weekend. I was waiting for Gen Disc #5 to open and discussions to die out. Sims pissed at anyone comparing Jackie's and her management with anyone that is out doing her career wise. Which seem to be just about everyone. He hates both Olivia Rodrigo and Grace Vanderwaal for the same reasons. Some of us has talked about Olivia and Grace before they were very popular and we were right in stating how their managers and parents do things as compared to Jackie's management.
Now there looks like there is no demand for Jackie and she needs to take what she can get. On the other hand Live Nation " The company in charge of ticket sales "' Says Olivia "Guts" tour should have had stadiums because the demand was so high.
Jackie better do something if she wants to keep up with all those so called moppets. There is a long way from being the 3rd act for a group in 300 capacity clubs than having your own show in arena's much less stadiums. Anybody thinking Jackie sticking with Mike and her current label can do it, well I have a bridge to sell you.
Comparisons usually end up being look why so and so is doing so much better than Jackie. Insofar as that's a pattern of posting, it's odious, whether or not it's true. And free advice (esp. if very little of it is seen by who it's offered to) is worth what was paid for it. If something changes nothing, and is endlessly repetitive, then at best even those who might agree with SOME of it will get bored with it. Except those few whose mission in life is to think they're so much smarter, or that get some pleasure out of putting someone down. Some more polarized posters aside, that doesn't mean most "hate" any of the ones being mentioned. I don't wish anyone failure. But I don't give a rat's backside about most of what most of them perform, because I don't have enough hours in a day to like all music in all styles by everyone. And to be fair, for some of us who have followed someone for a long time, it's not JUST about what they do, there's an element of loyalty involved. |

I have been following Jackie since 2012 and will continue to do so, she isn’t a top star ⭐️ but I love ❤️ her voice! So I will not stop 🛑 being a fan because others don’t like her or know her !

Not every artist is required to have a narcissist need for followers and to be a social media influencer with the thirst traps. Shes improved and thats just fine with people who realize shes a human and you cannot put that kind of pressure on a young successful woman. If she wants to use social media, its there and she is using it. Social Media is really just vague code for a younger demo: in a week she will start touring with Echosmith who has a younger demo. Thats killing two bots with one stone as donkey everyday was talking about her adding more dates, shes now doing more dates this year since 2019 pre-pandemic. I told donkey numerous times she was writing and in recent interviews and ones from several months ago shes confirmed she was writing at that time. Increasing her spotify numbers: you yourself noted her follower counts rose to almost 160k, there were Solla songs on playlists. Her Team has pushed for spotify streams going back to the Awakening album. So I think they always attempted to increase her streams and get younger fans. Radio play: it was only a pipe dream to hear her on radio as CC is not radio friendly that happened changing management: As Jackie stated in the NY Post from a year ago and in recent interviews including the new interview Rickky posted, heads up this is the extended interview (the one he posted was 12 mins) this is 19 mins: www.iheart.com/podcast/256-lifeminute-entertainment-31152629/She confirms in that interview (and others) that she changed management. Shes no longer with Marc Johnston (since the pandemic as stated in NYP) but with a new management team, they got her those Echosmith dates, and the radio play. She was under Mike's watch when she said she will never trust anyone unless they are family or she has known them for a long time. Sounds to me they have her afraid of her own shadow. Probably why we only see her with family when going out. Jackie probably needs decades of therapy before she will be able to live a normal life. Funny how nobody else has that problem and can take trips to other countries with their friends and not with Daddy along.

Also keep in mind Jackie's mental illness. She has insecurities, social anxiety, probably generalized anxiety, possibly depression, and a very serious eating disorder (and resulting health issues) that she very recently admitted she is still very much struggling with. You generally need and want a lot of family support when you are in her condition. And no, she's not a party animal or a social butterfly, and never will be. It's not who she is. But she has a few friends and family members close to her own age she hangs with, and has done some dating recently. So all in all, I think she's doing fine. Her dad is her rock...and I think she needs that in her life to give her a feeling of stability and safety and someone she knows she can always count on. I for one am grateful she has her dad. |

But were most, or all, of her insecurities, social anxiety, depression, etc. caused by her childhood? I've only seen a few videos of her as a child, but she seemed like a pretty normal and outgoing kid. Once she got famous it was almost as if she was held captive, we NEVER saw her hanging out with friends. Parents want to protect their children, that's perfectly understandable, but you can go too far with that. I think they caused her to be scared of people. Either way, she certainly did not have a normal childhood. |
