Sydnie has a very good voice indeed. But she is a professional musical theater actress who has performed in the West End and on cruise ships (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydnie_Christmas). She auditioned for BGT after her career stalled. Her problem, which is shared by thousands of wannabee singers, actress and models, is that she is competing against thousands of other equally talented people. There are always exceptions but, for most people, success in talent shows does not boost their showbiz careers.

I knew she was already a performer, but didn't realize she actually performed in the West End. Either way, she's incredibly good. And I really liked what she did with the songs that she chose. Usually I don't like when very popular songs are changed, but she did make them her own. I hope her career gets a kick-start now.

As usual, Sims cherry picks comments and uses them in contexts where they have no bearing. Pretty much par for the course. Its bizarre that Rickky and amg lie about their moppet and lie about Jackie as well (amg said her Mother pushed her on this, nope she did not once you sign your contract/life away Lisa had no control or minimal btw): When I said it is most likely her mother pushed her into CC, that would have clearly occurred long before she signed any contract. It would have occurred before she was even on AGT. Remember, she got on AGT on her third attempt. It is pretty obvious that at such a young age, she might want to sing, but choosing CC is not something that would be decided by a child. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Most children learning violin or piano due so because they are pressured by their parents. It isn't shocking that Lisa would have pushed Jackie to sing once she demonstrated some talent. More questionable would be setting her up to support the family.
"Have there been any musicians that have either been there for you or mentored you over the years?" "No. No, not really. I mean, there’s always maybe brief communication, but no, definitely no close relationship or mentorship at all (msims note: amg lied that she was being mentored). It’s so funny. Even my label was like, “Oh, do you have any famous friends or people in the industry and stuff?” And I was like, “No, I barely have friends in my own life.” I definitely don’t have famous friends."
In context, the interviewer was asking Grace about other famous people who were friends or were helping her. She generally has not hung out with famous people but only her circle of friends wherever that might be. She was friends for awhile with Millie Bobby Brown and Maddie Ziegler but that was short lived as they were on opposite sides of the country. She also had at one point been given advice by Selena Gomez who Grace mentioned as kind of an aunt and she had a little birthday celebration for Selena when she attended a concert on her tour with Imagine Dragons.
In a recent interview, she mentioned how, when she was younger, she looked up to the musicians and producers around her as her role models. A few years back, when she was working with Ido Zmishlany regularly, she referred to him numerous times as a musical genius from whom she has learned so much about how to work in the studio. When she began, she knew absolutely nothing and within months of working with him could make her own demos. Zmishlany himself has praised her for how quickly she picked things up and has referred to her as his "magical unicorn." So, yes he was a mentor but, like most producers, he is neither famous nor would he have been of any interest in the context of the interview you cited. So, in typical fashion, Sims picks an isolated comment in a single interview where they are obviously talking about famous people and then decides that applies to the everyone.
I would also draw attention to Sims still insisting on using the term "moppet" where it does not belong. A moppet is a small, endearingly sweet child. I don't know who he might have been referring to in Richard's case, but obviously Grace has not met that definition since about 2016. I suppose you could mean it metaphorically as someone who clings to such an image later in life, but that certainly would not apply to someone like Grace who has been living on her own since she was 17, has set her own path since she was 14, is becoming a regular in high fashion magazines, and goes places and does things adults in their 20s do. A metaphorical moppet would be someone who clings to that childhood image. Until recently, the childish part could have applied to Jojo Siwa but certainly not the endearingly sweet part. So do you know any adult female singers who have clung to a childhood image of sweetness?

So do you know any adult female singers who have clung to a childhood image of sweetness? Only one I know of is Jackie Evancho. Who still acts several years younger than the rest of them even though she is much older. Jackie still needs her Daddy with her or a family member where ever she goes. Most of them either act or write more mature music. I said once before one thing all the celebrities have in common is that they are extremely independent. Since Sims mentioned Jenna Ortega awhile ago. Could you imagine Jackie shooting a series in Romania for 8 months without daddy holding her hand. And you know darn well she wouldn't make friends with the others on the set.

Jackie’s parents did a poor job developing Jackie’s social skills!

Well, yeah, Foster never misses out on cashing in on a good thing, but it's a good thing for her, the more she's seen and heard, the better.

This is not a politics post. It is about Jackie's reach as a public figure and renowned entertainer.
Jackie's decision to sing for the 2017 presidential inauguration played a significant role in the outcome of the current 2024 presidential election. Thank you Jackie! You ignored all considerations and focussed only on singing for "the office." Good move! I'm so proud of you! Don't bother with dumb liberal agenda things like character, or fitness for leadership, abortion, and trans rights, your career is what matters! Again, well done! I know you will support our new president publicly and often. Go Jackie!

Don't bother with dumb liberal agenda things like character, or fitness for leadership, abortion, and trans rights, your career is what matters! Again, well done! I know you will support our new president publicly and often. Go Jackie! Did you see the exit polling data that surveyed voters on why they voted for their chosen candidate? The top two reasons that voters chose Trump were the high level of inflation that we've had over the last four years as well as the massive number of immigrants that have entered the country illegally. None of the exit polls that I saw mentioned Jackie's performance at the 2016 inauguration as a factor in deciding who to vote for. If you have some of that data, please share it. Character was an issue that influenced Trump voters. Kamala Harris did not take policy positions on most issues, so those voters did not know what they would get from Kamala. The few times that Kamala was put on the spot to identify her policies, she blatantly avoided doing so, and gave nonsensical answers such as "I was brought up in a middle class family....". Trump may be abrasive, but we know what we are getting from him. When it comes to the trans issue, it appears that Democrats no longer care about women's rights. There have been too many instances in sports in which men, pretending to be women, are allowed to compete in women's events. Women have been sustaining injuries as a result of these policies and have been excluded from obtaining scholarships and other rewards. Women fought for years to get title 9 rights, and Democrats are trampling on those rights.
