I'm staying with my mom during the Coronavirus house arrest period. Over the years, she has become a Jackie fan and listens to her CDs much more than I do. Mom doesn't follow entertainment news and she asked me what has been going on with Jackie. These are the updates I gave her: 1) Jackie's career appears to be slowing down as her "the Debut" CD wasn't a huge seller 2) Jackie appears to be the character, "Kitty" on the Masked Singer show. She hopes that this move will get her noticed in the pop world. 3) Jackie's brother Jacob is now a girl 4) Jackie's father is having an affair with a stylist 5) Jackie is a close friend with the stylist's daughter 6) Jackie's mother is having an affair with a trans female 7) Jackie's parents are getting divorced and the entire family is still living together Did I get anything wrong or is there anything missing? For all we know, the divorce may have preceded, or at least been decided on, before the involvement of the new partners (a more proper sequence, if you accept divorce). Therefore, I think "affair" may be a bit judgmental choice of words. Also, your 5 might have preceded 4 in time. Other than that, your list seems reasonably consistent with the Facebook post, save that they're all together now because Jackie's other residence (subleased condo in NYC Hell's Kitchen area) is not a good place to be right now; Jackie, her father, and his new significant other and her daughter, presumably returned to Pittsburgh from wherever they'd been before that. The home north of Pittsburgh is large enough, and the location not densely populated, so it's the safest option for all right now. Thanks - it appears that my understanding of the word "affair" is off.

And never Replying to fans who ask questions, expect one which she doesn't like, then is rude to them.....

Sang at the Presidents inauguration, who made her famous enough to get a one episode reality show.... Then her family then insult the same president, who gave her another shot at fame, Using it as opportunity to promote their own agenda. Which did not work.

Socalfan, sorry I’m so off topic these days. Jackie isn’t really singing anymore, and her family is off limits to me now. But I wish them well. J We have always welcomed cordial social interaction between posters and even more so during these trying times. That's why I'm happy to hear about Rick's cats or Outlier's kidney stones (a problem I share). I believe many of us are retired, which is a huge blessing at a time when millions are losing their jobs and livelihoods.

DJT2020 (formerly known as Rob) has gone off the deep end with his latest two posts today, which are thoroughly disgusting. First of all, where is he going where he finds crap like this? And secondly, why does he think it would be a good thing to re-post it here?

Mind you, it's a big world population, and no shortage of crazies; and with big enough numbers, anything not outright impossible will eventually happen...although eventually for some things might take longer than the planet, or even universe, may last. But for this? Almost certain it's happened somewhere, some time; but more likely than not, the photos are fake. And it's a horrible story to pass around, because all too similar stories have been used before to demonize innocent people that never did any such thing, never even pretended to.

Grace Vanderwaal appeared on Facebook Live for Billboard along with other aritsts to raise money for My Friend's Place - a charity that works with homeless youth. Each artist appeared for 20 minutes to a half hour and sang 3-4 songs. Grace was originally scheduled to appear at 5 PM but they were having technical difficulties at the Vanderwaal household (probably because Facebook is for old people ) and finally appeared at 6:30 PM. She talked a lot and mentioned a few times that she was in a mellow mood. Well, it was certainly much more mellow than the rather manic session from Instagram I posted here a few nights ago when she played snippets of some new recordings she had done. All I can assume is that this girl must have some kind of major mood swings . She sang four songs: "Today and Tomorrow," "Ur So Beautiful," "I Don't Like You," and finished up with "Moon River." The last might seem like a strange choice for a 16 year old but she has sung it before and knows it because she is a big Audrey Hepburn fan - particularly Breakfast at Tiffany's.
The performance was much more together than her earlier one for the Rockland County interthon. A big difference is that this time she used one of her Fender Grace Vanderwaal Signature Ukes rather than the cheap green one she used on her other appearance. The quality of the instrument was obviously much better since it is a pro-quality concert instrument rather than a kid's beginner uke. One of the more amusing moments was after she was done "Ur So Beautiful." Although she wrote the song with Ido, she had never performed the instrumental part on her uke before. As with many of her dance numbers, she originally composed the rough version on Garage Band by singing a melody over a dance beat that she and Ido later fixed up and he arranged for full instruments. She did perform it a few times acoustically but she had her guitarist Melissa provide the accompaniment on acoustic guitar. You could tell she was following the sheet music for the chords since she doesn't normally play it. When she finished, she enthusiastically said "I actually never played that before - it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be."
There are still lots of moments of her quirky humor, but overall a much more focused performance.

That was a good watch. Grace Vanderwaal, the perfect forum-topic antidote to child cannibalism. She apparently continued with another livestream, which I'm looking forward to watching because she sang "Lungs" – an outstanding track only available on the Target exclusive of Just the Beginning, and that she's never performed in concert, and "You'll Get Bored" – a song that she's only done on stage. I also just watched 45 minutes of Janet Devlin putting on makeup and rambling. Sounds crazy to do that, and normally I wouldn't, but she just wrote a book and recorded an album, both called "Confessions," and she's been slowly getting things off her chest. According to her she's kind of messed up, but you'd never know it if she didn't say so. I've followed her for years, and have grown to respect her a lot.

I so agree with you. Innocent people could be victims if passed around. China is different though, enough so that I question current CV-19 news. Public potties in even in major metro areas lack tp, towels and even water. Carry Kleenex purse packs and wet wipes if you ever visit. Those squatting potties there are likely ok, if unpleasant , as is paying to use the paperless public bathrooms (heck though, they charge in London too). They do serve dog and donkey. Different cultural thing. My experience. In Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai.

Tate McRae just released a new single titled "You Broke Me First." She already had a rough demo copy on her YouTube channel with just her on keyboards, but this is the final cut version:
Tate has had an amazing run in the last ten months or so. Her four singles since signing with Sony/RCA (her previous singles were as an independent artist) - "Tear Myself Apart," "All My Friends Are Fake," "stupid," and "That Way" have all been streamed over 10 million times on Spotify alone with "Tear Myself Apart" closing in on 20 million an "stupid" streaming a jaw dropping 50 million times on Spotify in only a few months. Her monthly listeners have been as high as nine million and are currently at six and a half million - the current highest for any teen female singer not named Billie Eilish.
Now one might argue that Tate's listener totals might have been inflated by Spotify (and others) promoting her so strongly on their playlists. Certainly such exposure helps a great deal since anyone using the playlist will be added to her monthly listeners. However, such an objection is only meaningful if the exposure doesn't have any effect on their overall popularity. That is certainly not the case here. When Tate signed with RCA over the summer, she had just over two hundred thousand Spotify followers; by December, it was just over 300,000; now it is over 450,000. That is an increase of 50% every four months. At that pace, she will have over a million followers by the end of the year. That doesn't mean that will happen, but it could happen. At that point, in terms of hardcore followers, she would be in the same territory as Grace is now. Moreover, getting popular through playlists is really no different than getting popular by getting played on the radio.

Tate's new music video. Quote: From Tate's instagram on making this music video. ITS OUT EVERYWHERE GO STREAM GO WATCH GO ENJOY:) during a global pandemic i put together a music video. this was taped to the front of my moms car, driving backwards, being filmed on my iphone, on a random rooftop. can’t believe we actually put something together in this crazy time. directed this on my own:) &very very grateful for my team. i rlly hope u guys enjoy this song i wrote. it means a lot to me. love you guys 🖤 These competitive dancers that the Jackie's OTT liked to hate, when given a chance at a music career are going to run with it, They are used to working from a very young age to putting out 100% to achieve their goals even if it means 20 to 30 hrs a week working out. Jackie said at one time she just puts out one hour a week practicing even though she knows how important it is.

Grace Vanderwaal, after her benefit performance yesterday, went on Instagram live. She was on for close to two hours. During that time, she played some requests and talked about her life and career and did a Q&A. She can be a bit quirky but seems to have a good head on her shoulders. She mentioned that if this music thing doesn't work out as a career, she would just go to college, get a job, and find a coffee house to sing in during her spare time. She said she is preparing for both possibilities and either way she'll be fine. She definitely has scary natural talent.
