... I just don't see her dropping out for a few years if she can help it. There could be a mortgage on the house and the NY apt., not to mention taxes and utilities, plus they all have to eat and pay for health insurance. Agreed. She and her family need to eat. If she drops out, it won't be voluntary. I expect her concert career to continue, but perhaps slowing down with fewer gigs as her career slows down. Broadway is a long shot for someone with no acting or dancing skills. If Broadway she may need voice and acting training . but Foster can fix that . |

Thanks. So it appears that Jackie performed with Matteo Bocelli at the Best Buddies Dallas Gala charity event last night Sat 11/11/17. She may have received the invitation by referral from David Foster and Andrea Bocelli.

Thanks. So it appears that Jackie performed with Matteo Bocelli at the Best Buddies Dallas Gala charity event last night Sat 11/11/17. She may have received the invitation by referral from David Foster and Andrea Bocelli. Good thing she didn't tell anyone about it. There are several active fans in that area who would have attended. Can't have fans attending now can we. |

If her presence had been publicized, they would have had to hire an army of security guards, the roads leading to the venue would have to be restricted, the Secret Service would have to be mobilized and and airspace above Dallas would have to be closed for a few hours. Frankly, what surprises me is that (1) the charity did not ask her to inform her fan base of her appearance and (2) the charity did not inform the public of her appearance. I can only assume that (1) the charity did not think her fan base was worth pursuing or (2) the charity is totally incompetent in fund raising. Sad indeed. |

I just can't see how so many praise Mike and Lisa management of Jackie. Her main site not even kept up to date. Her proboard all of a sudden taken down no excuse given. There seems to be an almost lack of interest in Jackie's career. Like I guess I will just throw another selfie on my instagram nothing about what she is up to career wise even. Richard, I can't bring to mind any fan praising Mike and Lisa's MANAGEMENT of Jackie's career. I can recall many fans praising their protective parenting of her. Not the same thing. Perhaps being a David Foster Gala event, which are usually for a charity or his charitable foundation; special mention of Jackie was not made in preference over all other artists invited to attend. Usually these events have a $25000 minimum seat cost and are very successful. The one in Vancouver BC in October 2017, which Oprah attended, raised over $10.5 million. I don't think any of his charitable events over the past several years have raised less than $3 million.
For most of us I don't think our pockets are deep enough to have attended had we been given notice of Jackie being in attendance as a guest performer. I think we should feel pleased that David felt good about inviting Jackie to perform once again with people such as Andrea Bocelli. It is apparent that David still thinks a lot of Jackie's talent and that isn't bad being recognized by a person with 16 Grammies and 47 nominations.
I am certainly a person that respects how well Jackie has been raised and protected by her parents. It must be one heck of a learning curve trying to raise a child prodigy in such a way as to not seem more favoured than her siblings. It is for certain that Jackie was not born with a prodigy rearing handbook for novice parents. If any fault might be attached to Mike and Lisa in raising Jackie it would be that they have been far too open with her and the family's life. If I had been in their position, I believe I would have sheltered her growing up years until she is 18 both for her and the siblings privacy and safety.

Defending them in every thing they did or do is praising them enough, Lisa and Mike has turned away some of Jackie's most loyal supporters over the years over nothing. Sorry but Lisa can be a real B and she is always defended. Probably one of Jackie biggest supporters that would post videos all the time ( I forgot his name I believe Jim something) and take his granddaughter to Jackie's concerts, when he told Lisa how many concerts he went to she told him to get a life. This type of thing happened several time yet you have a group of OTT fans that supported every things she did. Well it's probably to late for Jackie now the kids that got professional management like WME are getting million dollar gigs beside their what they get from their regular career. |

AFAIK, the Best Buddies Dallas Gala was not a Foster event and neither Foster nor Bocelli were there. Not Andrea, anyway; his son was there. |
