Maybe as MR A E Newman this next time. We're not worthy to be on a first name basis with Alfred. He's an excitable boy. Good ole Bussy, turned tail and run off again like a little girl. Sheesh, time to grow a pair. 🙄 If you can't take the heat it is probably a good thing if you leave the kitchen.

I don't think we will need to wait 8 years for a change in Administration. It is almost a certainty that the Republican party will not support Trump for a second round and it seems quite possible he will not survive a 1st round. As regard to RRegan, I thought he was governor of California for a couple of terms back in the late 60's early 70's and turned down a 3rd. I would have thought that would have given him experience in politics. Trump has only business experience and given the number of times he has had financial difficulties he appears not to good at that either. Anyone that loses over a billion dollars of personal money (not business money) in one year is not very good at handling wealth. People with lots of polish use it to lie through their teeth, usually. People with political experience created the swamp that now so urgently needs draining by dislodging all those who think they're entitled to either perquisites, corporate welfare, individual welfare, power other than over their own lives, or pretty much anything but death and taxes, and preferably the first not too soon, and the second not too much. By the time they acquire polish and political experience, most have been been corrupted by all the backroom deals the system operates on. We've been long overdue for someone without that baggage, that doesn't need to do this for wealth, fame, or their own already rather large ego. Trump is as unpolished as a dockworker, shoots from the hip too often, a bit incoherent sometimes on first take, and I don't like listening to him for those reasons, save for a few speeches he's put more effort into. But I'll take that over some polished liar any day. And there's no sense using polish to postpone confronting Iran or North Korea, both of which are not quite insane, but only in the sense that they realize they have to survive to achieve the particularly twisted version of the Apocalypse the former wants, or the forced reunification of Korea under the north and forced acceptance as a superpower in their own right that the latter wants. So we have to make it clear to them that without altering their course, they will not survive. That, and only that, is what they understand. Reasonableness and negotiation do not work with megalomaniacs, Neville Chamberlain proved that.

It's a good thing you can't believe it Gordy because it's probably not true. Are you aware that the mayor(ette) of San Juan was praising Trump and the relief efforts for several days before she was instructed by the Democrat party to change her tune? Are you aware shipping containers jammed full of supplies are spoiling at the docks? The Puerto Rican truck drivers went on strike. They went on strike! If my statements are untrue, it should be very easy to disprove them. Have at it Gordy. The main stream media of Europe, North America and Europe are little more than propagandists for the bankers of the new world order. Like the aspiring Hollywood actresses and the successful ones who came up through the corrupt system, you must do what is necessary to be advanced. After that you must keep quiet about what is going on. Corrupt disinformationists is what they are. Thxs to Socalfan the truth of the matter seems to be revealed and has been graciously acknowleged by agog.
Therefore my comparison of what Puerto Rico's future might look similar to Haiti is not farfetched. The aid that Puerto Rico has received compared to other areas of the US that have experienced disaster is still in my opinion somewhat disgraceful. I acknowledge that there is considerable material aid dropped off at the port of entry but that is it...it was dropped off to an area that has no infrastructure for distributing. They need massive support in putting roadways back in operating condition, tremendous amount of hydro crews and eqpt to restore electrical needs, new and replacement water resources and likely sewage treatment facility. There is no way that Puerto Rico can handle that by themselves with their own people and eqpt. Unfortunately the current US Administration is not capable of grasping that situation; and dumping food, building materials and other supplies on their doorstep is useless.
Fake news as usual , you only see what some want to show , it is all lies , all is being done to help ,

Our military is there helping and have been since the storm was over. By all real reports, they are doing the best they can with what they were able to ship there. They are trying to rebuild the place with equipment and supplies and manpower that have to be shipped in or flown in. By all of this complaining, you are showing that you care nothing for our military, country or our president. yes jr , he is just a sore loser speaking with hate of our Flag

Lol Gordy. What would you say about someone who was a billion in the hole and had near 10 billion a few years later. Most people know that Donald was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he comes from a wealthy family. I have no doubts the financial support was forthcoming from family when he experienced financial difficulties more than once. I have no reason to disbelieve your $10B figure for Donald's net worth but how he recovered to that level may very well be from family investment decisions and not Donald's in isolation.
The fact remains that he lost $1B of his personal money in 1 year.

And for the next 4 years he didn't have to pay any taxes. So?

I have no interest in your tax laws and it is not unreasonable to use losses as a tax deduction. I never brought the subject up so I don't know how I should respond to the question ...So?

The So is because what dose it matter if he lost a billion if he can turn around and take it off of his taxes. Is he really out any money? On a smaller scale i do the same thing every rear. I buy and sell stock and live off of the dividends plus other income. If i own a stock that has lost money and i own stock that has increased in value, i sell the loser and apply the loss to the profit from selling the stock that has gained. You only realize the profit or loss when you sell the stock so as long as you don't loose more than your gains over the next 4 years you are not really losing money.
