The real problem seems to be that the US government is treating science like sh..Trump and a few Republicans and many of their supporters are just stupid- sorry for not being decent. This is the result of evangelic home-schooling, middle age thinking. Yes, we were lucky that we had the world leading expert in Corona - and he informed the public daily - even when he changed, learned new things - people trusted him, because no ego, new information imediately, with arguments...Merkel is no perfect, but she is a Ph. D scientist - she always acted logical, calm/ followed science. Yes we also have some idiots, crazy conspiracy theorists - but over 90% are supporting the governments policy. You also have experts - in Harvard . According to one german politician who is also a doctor, studied, worked at Harvard he is in daily contact with his american collegues. Dr Lipsich (Harvard) explained to him in February the consequences of Covid19..this institute is the world leading institute in this field. But Trump and crazy Pence don‘t use US experts - let them speak. This video explains why it is impossible to reconcile Christian beliefs with those of the Democratic party (and I don't believe that Trump is an angel by any stretch) He is excactly this type of fake christian, who just preaches trash - he has no single clue about christianity - exactly as I wrote - most parts of the USA is full of these crackheads, idiots - totally uneducated He is just a laughing stock - but sadly many US people take this bs serious. I shouldn't have to say this, but the number of subscribers doesn't negate what people say in their own words. There's nothing fake about it.

Stupidest thing I ever saw. NO PRESIDENT OF EITHER PARTY would have much luck changing the behavior of large numbers of people, or of the various state governments; and without that, the death rate cannot change significantly. (ending travel from Europe at the same time as from China is probably the only thing that would have REALLY helped) And don't give me BS about the "example" of not wearing a mask on TV; anyone who is stupid enough to be influenced by that one way or the other, is short of a few survival skills anyway. And actually, increased border security probably helps with COVID-19 control. Places with lots of illegals tend to have more of a problem with it than other places - not that illegals are necessarily disease-ridden (although some diseases not previously seen in the US do get imported by them), but between the chaos in Mexico and verious points south of there, and that illegals are likely to try to stay unnoticed, they're likelier to arrive sick, not get tested, not self-quarantine because they may not be able to afford it, etc. |
