Makes sense. Since few people wanted to buy Jackie's COT album, and since few people wanted to buy her concert tickets, and since few venues want to hire her for concerts, she might as well work on her album of originals. Even though, as you point out, the big money is in concert tickets, not recordings. And she'd have plenty of time to work on her album between concerts, it's not as if she's ever done mega tours, so his excuse is silly. |

Johnnny is certainly runner up for troll of the year next to Caitlyn. The enabling of Caitlyn, the dark disturbing troll comments mocking Jackie's trauma of the Priest. This is a sick guy. As for Cait, its all part of the fraud to lie, deny, and gaslight. Cait is a character I discovered years ago on facebook and will not stop until he feels hes ruined her career. No respectable admin would condone this. Geez Sims, you have to lighten up a bit dude, you’re entitled to give your opinions but don’t expect anyone to buy what your selling. I’m not sure what you’re are trying to prove but I’m almost 100% sure that Jackie- Mike couldn’t give two s h I t s what you think. What the hell is wrong with you honestly? Cut out all the places where she was a guest singer and there is not a lot left. |

But doing 13 shows, 13 nights, will not prevent her from working on her album. Please! People with full time jobs, 40 hours/week, 52 weeks a year, would have time to write songs. Why she sang at small winey dinner clubs rather than theaters could be because theaters didn't want to book her and she wanted to get back to performing. Why else wouldn't she do all or mostly larger venues? She has to work as hard singing to an audience of 10 people, and it takes as much time, as singing to an audience of thousands. Time will tell where she goes next. |

But giving concerts and working on her album are not mutually exclusive. Musicians do both all the time and Jackie could do so too. But it seems that the reason Jackie is not doing both is that she is not getting the concert offers. she did 13 concerts this year if venues didnt want to hire her, why did they? The venues wanted to to hire her then. But after COT and concert sales underperformed, they don't seem to want to hire her now. |

Jackie knows her only hope for a future career is to have success in another genre and attract new fans, but unless/until she can achieve that, she also has to cater to the 55-75 year old fan base she has left and sing a lot of the cc stuff as well. Jackie has scheduled one concert, at home, November 2022 - February 2023. So she basically stopped touring following the poor tickets sales during her two week winery stint following her album release. That's a giant flaming red flag for you OTT, never ending optimists out there. There is a glimmer of hope. She can still get on nationally televised shows once in a blue moon like AGT and TMS. She did okay with ticket sales in NJ and at home for the Xmas concert. However, again, that was just her dwindling older fan base. And those were exceptions...home crowd and performing with an orchestra. Mabye she should consider performing with orchestras and choirs more often. That being said, her career really does appear to be on life support, or damn near it. I know she has been promising original material this year...even her label teased that. But that seems highly unlikely to change anything as far as her career trajectory. The handwriting is on the wall in huge red lettering for anyone who is being honest and objective, unfortunately for Jackie. She's going to keep trying, and all the power to her, but at this point it doesn't look good...at all. |

Here is someone I came across at random while surfing Youtube - Lucy Thomas. I had never heard of her before. She is 18 and this was recorded 2 years ago when she was 16.
She sounds as good as Jackie to me. I post about her not because I think she is exceptional. Exactly the opposite. She is simply one of many average professional singers that can be found at random on Youtube. Lucy sounds very good but she is no big deal.
Jackie was exceptional because she was a young girl with an adult voice. But now, Jackie is a adult woman with an adult woman's voice. Not unusual any more.

Before COT was released, Jackie fans said that after COT was released, her career would recover from her long absence, she would resume her concerts, and everything would be fine. COT was released Sep 9. Three months after that, Jackie fans are now saying her lack of concert dates is not a problem since she is working on her next album of originals. Bad luck for whoever funded COT - they will not get their money back. And best of luck to whoever is funding her next album. |

If you look at previous schedules, a slow January or February is not super unusual; mostly those would be warm weather tourist venues in Florida or southern California. Maybe those are slow, or the current album isn't suitable for those locations, or she's been to others within two years. July and August are usually even quieter.
