No I said that I want more information period, hey a lot of the time people in this forum disagree with my point of view! Very few times does anyone agree with my point of view! So you saying that I am waiting for the consensus of what this forum thinks before giving my opinion is faulty!

So let me get this right, Jackie shouldn’t tour with Grimm because it is below her. Yet Grimm has toured with Bill Medley, Stevie Nicks, Nancy Wilson, the Doobie Brothers, Greg, Howe, and many more. Grimm has a residency at the Smith Center in Vegas. I wouldn’t call that small potatoes. And donkey you think he won because of sympathy votes, if only the audience knew that Jackie’s family had filed for bankruptcy only a year before. Jackie was a small child with a beautiful voice. Now she’s a young adult with just a regular voice that’s the truth. Well, the sob story was part of it like I said. But not all it like I also said. It was a factor. Jackie didn't share a sob story, so it was a disadvantage for her. And Jackie was 10 and just starting out her career. Grimm had been singing for a number of years and had paid his dues. I think some people gave him the nod because of that too. And just to clear the record...I sat mere feet from Jackie in Nashville last October, and I assure you that she doesn't have "just a regular voice". Her voice is quite extraordinary in its own right. lol

Jude17 doesn’t know , Donkey does like he said he has seen and heard Jackie sing 🎤 live, so Jude 17 before you say Jackie has a a average voice, go hear her life before saying how average her voice is ! Bankruptcy was not Jackie’s fault in the first place!

Jackie used to be on Billboard 200. She used to sell out moderate sized theaters. She doesn't any more. The COT Tour failed because most of the fans who heard her live in the good old days have now decided that her voice is no longer extraordinary. That's not my opinion. That's the opinion of many of the fans that had previously heard her live and chose not to buy COT Tour tickets.

Grimm has a residency at the Smith Center in Vegas. I wouldn’t call that small potatoes. You are missing the point. There was a time when touring with Grimm WAS below Jackie. Which is why she never toured with Grimm before. But now, Jackie's career is such that touring with Grimm is no longer below Jackie. We all recognize that. That is why nobody on this forum has said that Jackie shouldn’t tour with Grimm. Desperate times call for desperate actions. Grimm has had what I would consider a modestly successful career. This is a good indication: Google Trends - Jackie, Grimm, GraceV

Grimm had been singing for a number of years and had paid his dues. I think some people gave him the nod because of that too. Although it might not have been widely known, Jackie had been doing local/regional talent shows and charity events for two years by then, which as a percentage of her age at the time was quite a lot. So one could certainly say she'd paid some dues too.

Between that, and lack of new "game:" by Jackie over a decade, as well as a couple years of covid shutdowns and even Jackie disappearing altogether for a year...well her fan base shrunk a lot. lol

It is the music Jackie sings Socal Fan not Jackie’s voice! The type of music Jackie sings does not draw people in, most don’t want to hear covers! SoCal Fan you admitted you are not a fan of Jackie’s, you are just interested in we’re here career goes! Have you ever heard Jackie sing live? Instead of just judging her by Utube videos !

Singers like Grace are more popular than Jackie because she writes her own songs that a younger audience likes ! The music Jackie sings has a dying fan base literally! So to gain new and a younger fan base she has to reinvent herself, can she do , I will wait and see what the result of her new album 💿 will be! I am open minded while many in this forum are not!

I believe you are right Jackie does have a great voice but does not sing the types of songs people want to hear in general. But it is the fault of her management that kept having her do the same thing over and over when they must have seen she need to change years ago. Lisa did mention it that Jackie need a complete make over because the flavor of the month is gone, but nothing came of it. Maybe an album with originals will turn things around. But like I said if she is looking for a younger fan base she needs to start now gaining them not wait until her album or singles are released. Unless she is vary lucky and can get a lot of media attention.

By and large, they're not songs to show off a dramatic voice, but songs to show off somewhat dissatisfied emotion, and not even that very dramatically. If one is going to do cover songs, they should be songs that take best advantage of one's abilities, which IMO these weren't. Not that they weren't done quite well for what they tried to be, just that what that was wasn't all that exciting to most people.
