Just like you have said I believe if I am not mistaken Socal Fan, people want to hear who sung songs originally not being covered by someone else, that is the reason Jackie doesn’t have any drawing power to her concerts, Gabby Barrett has drawing power because she sings on the most part original music plus country music is very popular, what Jackie sings is not ! Gabby Barrett’s I hope release went platinum several times over with her video receiving 150 million views the last time I looked! Gabby is a great song writer and has been writing songs for years!

Michael Grimm was just clone of the season 4 winner. And it was pretty obvious they were both pushed to be AGT's answer to American Idol's Chris Daughtry who had hit it big with essentially the same MO. Rugged looking guy playing mid-tempo rock with some country elements. The soccer moms loved them all but none as much as Daughtry.
It was a formula that started with Tom Jones in the 60s and was perfected with Michael Bolton in the 80s.

Honestly, as long as I love ❤️ Jackie’s voice that is all that matters, Others either like her or they don’t, so each their own !

I believe that my opinion of Jackie's voice is irrelevant. The only thing that is relevant is the public's opinion of Jackie's voice. 2. I believe that a very very small segment of the public thinks that Jackie has a great voice. The vast majority of the public has (a) no opinion of her voice or (b) forgotten Jackie exists or (c) never known she exists. 3. Most importantly, I believe that as long as a singer has a decent voice, a great voice does not matter. Some singers have great voices but some of the most successful singers have only average voices (Michael Jackson, Elton John, Beatles, etc etc). Jackie's more successful competitors (like Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae, Gabby Barrett, etc) have only average voices. What matters much more is songwriting and charisma. As you yourself said, the COT Tour failed because Jackie was "stuck singing the wrong music". Clearly, Jackie's "incredible voice" did not do her any good. So why keep discussing her voice when it doesn't matter? By the way, this is why I believe voice training will not make any difference to Jackie's career. |

(see AGT and TMS), and she occasionally gets local t.v. and radio interviews, and even a national one...as a result of her past career. But in order to be "rediscovered" as a new talent, she would need great new material that attracts a new audience, and then that material would need national exposure so the general public gets a chance to hear it. It's possible, but a bit of a long shot I'm afraid. That being said, she is going to give it a shot it sounds like with the album of original material...as she should. |
