She said recently her goal is to create music that she likes and also that her fans like. That is pretty much the typical thing all artist say. But what they don't say is that the music they like best is the music that makes them the most money. I can't believe people believe artist aren't in their careers to make money and a good living. They all could write songs, sing them in the shower and flip burgers. Jackie most of all if she did that then Daddy probably wouldn't be following her around all the time. Who knows Jackie is 23, maybe like Millie Bobby Brown who is 19 she would be announcing her engagement. Yeah, but she used to say she wants to be a big singing star, mabye in pop music, and also became a force to be reckoned with, create her own empire, with things like make up lines and clothing or jewelry lines. Now she's toned it WAY down to..."As long as it's what I have an interest in producing, as long as it speaks my truth, and as long as my fans like it, I'm good". I think these songs are very therapeutic for her mental illness issues and that's part of what is going on here. |

I can't believe people believe artist aren't in their careers to make money and a good living. If you don't make some $$, you can't afford to perform. But if you don't perform some portion of what you want to perform, it may make your wallet fat but will drain the rest of you. How do we know that isn't what happened to Jackie, she is the one that seem to be drained of life. Sitting at home with Daddy all the time. Singing songs for people 3 to 4 times her age. Basically surrounding herself with people 3 times her age. But she sings the songs she likes and just loves sitting at meet and greats with men 3 or 4 times her age after all they are just like a grandfather to her. |

The fact is that Melody Place will go soon go broke if it keeps paying for mental therapy. After the failure of the COT album and tour, Jackie and MP realize that her career is on life support. They know they have to try something else - they are desperate and alt pop is all she has left. And if it fails, they had nothing to lose anyway - what choice did they have? |

There are exceptions, but not many (esp. among the young celebrities you think it would be so helpful to associate with - they may spend, and they may trade endorsements, but that's about all they're good for). |

There are some young folks with manners, and they're probably welcome almost anywhere. They're not in Antifa, that's for sure. Celebrities may have and spend money, but a large part of young fans don't buy albums or downloads or even paid subscriptions to streaming services. The entire actively anti-western or anti-capitalist universe is worth defeating, whether by war or other means. Not to say that domestic profiteering or political advantage should decide such things. But Ukrainian corruption is better than Putin's expansionist dictatorship. And so far it's only costing us equipment, much of which we'd be replacing soon enough anyway. I've done my time (although it happened to be a time when I wasn't likely to get shot at); others can do theirs now. Not fond of these useless people who never did theirs ordering others off to fight though. |

The younger generation isn't buying Jackie. She just doesn't appeal to her age group.
I have seen over the years so many missed opportunities for Jackie to meet and mingle with celebrities and others her own age that it has to be on purpose, either by her or her parents. Jackie now seems to be this socially awkward friendless person we know today. Jackie seems content to just stay with daddy the rest of her life.
IMO, most American celebrities don't have standards of behavior worth emulating. You're right, Jackie's life and circumstances would likely be enhanced by having a group of trusted friends among her peer group. She might be able to find such friendships in either educational or church environments. |

Jackie might do well belonging to a singles group at her church ⛪️ many churches of different denominations have such group, were you go out and do fun activities together, go on fun trips etc!

Perhaps I have a different look on things than many my age, but I am sympathetic to young people sick of moral pronouncements from boomers. We are the last generation who have a right to claim the culture has fallen apart. I'm not saying it hasn't, but our generation were the trailblazers. Casual sex? We made it the mantra of our generation. Drug use? We popularized it. Radical anti-western biases? That was us too. After all, those impressionable kids are radicalized by their professors who have predominantly been boomers. Everything you can think of that is bad with younger generations was inherited from us. Not you and I in particular, but our generational peers. If everything ends up with a cultural revolution type madness and our generation gets thrown against the wall, we supplied the bullets. |
