Agree, she should take every opportunity she gets to sing for an audience, I just hope she sings her new originals. What does amg1977 think of that gig I just posted? It wasn't posted yet when I started my post but it is definitely a big step in the right direction. It is a far more varied audience and is a festival that tends to attract people in the "crunchy granola" demographic who would likely be open to Jackie's newer material. It's a short-term positive but let's see if it turns into a long term positive. |

It sounds like a trade show, where there are vendors pitching products to the dealers and distributors. ... These events wouldn't happen if they didn't result in product orders. There's no question that trade shows are profitable in general or nobody would attend. Whether it is profitable for Jackie specifically we will see in her streaming numbers in the future. Anybody that is thinking about investing in Jackie will look at her streaming number, her social media (they certainly will know you need a so many followers to even get a venue). Her mental and physical problem. Her work ethics (not good), her management team (The worst possible), Jackie's personality ( about a 1 on a scale 1 to 10 ). Jackie does have the looks though but so does million of other girls but they would have to consider her eating problems. My guess the chance something coming out of this would be like wining the lottery ( not a regular lottery but a supper mega lottery). |

Im sure amg will be impressed:  As I have said, this is not a real gig, this is a self-paid promotion. Amg1977 can speak for himself. For myself, I am very much a "show me the money" kind of guy. There is a reason why showbiz is called showbiz - it's all about the money. Taylor Swift is the most powerful person in the music business because she is the richest. And in the music business today, what brings in the money is tickets sales and streams and that is what impresses me. It is the fans who stream and buy tickets. Not the artists or the labels, managers and playlist makers. Fan engagement is critical and that is Jackie's biggest weakness. COT failed because it did not sell sufficient streams and tickets. So far, BME is not a success but it is still too early to say. I'll be impressed when Jackie's streams and ticket sales materialize. I think we both would agree that opening for a Lana Del Ray or Florence Welch would be the ideal situation and better than this engagement. However, just because something else might be better does not mean this is not a positive. COT failed because it had no real auduence - Jackie's old fans were not that excited about it and there was no appeal to a younger demographic (Joni fans are as close to the cemetary as CC fans). Her new music is aimed at a specific audience in a younger demographic. The problem is connecting the demographic and the audience. One way would be opening for an established act in that genre. Another would be revamping her social media (this does seem to be occurring to some extent). Another technique is schmoozing the gatekeepers. That is, appealing to those who decide what songs the audience in that genre are likely to hear. When Grace Vanderwaal went alt-pop, she did a lot of these "insider events" and came out of it opening for Imagine Dragons. My only issue is whether Jackie is up to selling herself. Grace could sell herself with her general quirkiness. I'm just afraid Jackie might be a bit of a wallflower in this type of environment. |

I do believe Jackie deserves a chance to prove herself by wiping the slate clean, we give criminals a second chance, why not Jackie? Of course I am speaking from a fans point of view! Non fans are speaking debits and credits only not the emotional 🥲 part of the story! Work habits can change, the way Jackie promotes herself can change! I don’t expect Jackie to be a superstar but I do think she can live a fulfilling life as a professional singer 👩🎤!

Well Donkey you have seen Jackie in person,how was her personality on stage ? A stage show is carefully scripted, rehearsed and fine tuned. It's an acting job and says very little about one's personality. In today's world of showbiz, a fan's perception of a celebrity's personality is based on personal interaction (very rare) and social media (very very common). Don't you think there is a good reason why Jackie has so few social media followers? |

Well Donkey you have seen Jackie in person,how was her personality on stage ? Very confident while actually singing. Several instances of self-doubt/low confidence/awkwardness while talking, primarily when she goes off script...which she does occasionally while interacting directly with the audience. But of course, she comes across as very sweet always. |
