The real personality is in two places , Go Time And Guess Ads The real Jackie isn't so much that, at least not today. That's Jackie putting on a show for the cameras. Jackie was a kid. I am sure she wanted to be a kid but had to work at the "family business" which was her. She no doubt wanted to appeal to her peers but appealing to her grandparents generation was what supported the family. These little breaks from the Lawrence Welk set were a good time. She is finally getting a chance to write her own narrative a decade later. I do believe Jackie wanted to do what she is doing now for a long time. I also think Jackie is too timid to put her foot down and needed someone with past success on her side. Greg Camp has been the one who has given her the nerve to stand up and take a chance. I wish she had found him a few years ago but better late than never. |

I think several of the songs I've heard so far from Jackie's new material sound far better than anything that she released 2H. Much more polished studio productions and much better, catchy, contemporary sound to them. I really like the sound of Behind My Eyes...and we got a preview of the studio produced version of "Smoking Gun" during the Zoom meeting, and I think it sounded fantastic. I suspect "Get Out of MY Life" will sound really nice too out of the studio. A couple others were more "heavy metal" stuff supposedly and I wasn't getting into those...but at least she's trying different stuff there. We all know this new music is a bit of a long shot to really gain Jackie any significant numbers of new fans, but I have to say, some of what I've heard so far is significantly better than I expected. Sounds like Camp is working with Jackie to put her lyrics to music and using lots of interesting vocal layering to achieve desired effects. I like some of what I'm hearing. |

And Jackie isn't just sticking to past material...she's trying to reinvent herself, which keeps things fresh and interesting fot those of us who still love listening to her voice. BOOK IT!!!!  |
