Funny that nobody has ever been able to find an accident report of the incident. It never made the local news even, we all of a sudden hear about it a year later even though Juliet said Jackie was fine. If there are any doubts in anyone's mind about the accident then Jackie and the Evancho's are to blame for it. Christina had a broken or badly sprained ankle about the same time. A wild guess would be that Christina was driving, hit black ice, and rolled it at least on the side. One might imagine that they might not want to talk about that much more than they have; no point in increasing tensions, could've happened to anyone. And accident reports are funny things; if it's single vehicle (and no pedestrians etc), there's a lot of discretion as to what gets reported. I don't know if it was related but I posted from Christina's stories that she was going to have two long screws removed from her foot she even posted an x-ray of her foot with two long screws in it. She never said what happened to her foot in the first place. She used to run and jog all the time. |

Colt I don't know what you mean by Jackie being "blamed" for the accident. No one has said whether it was her fault or not. The issue for me (I won't speak for anyone else) is that Jackie has told a lot of stories – car accident, broken back, bones of an 80-year old, heart problems, depression, fake priests, empires, etc., etc., etc., but I don't know what any of it has to do with her music. All I care about is whether I like her music or I don't. I'm not saying she's lying or telling the truth – I don't know and I don't care – I just don't know what she expects from us. Are we supposed to want her music more because she went through these things? If so, I want to know if she's telling the truth. If that's not what she wants, then just go make music and I'll happily listen to it. The product I'm willing to pay for is music. If she wants my sympathy, she can have that, but it's not why I'm here. There's a reason people raise an eyebrow at the endless sob stories that come with every talent show contestant. What does your momma's brother's struggle with head lice have to do with what you're about to sing? Just sing. The reason for the sob stories on talent shows is to gain attention, sympathy and hopefully votes. Jackie writes her stories, puts them on social media because they get picked up and she gets a lot of publicity, it's a great way to stay in the public eye, especially when new music is about to be released. She's been doing it for years, and why not? Even if it doesn't help sales, it doesn't take much effort and it doesn't cost her anything. |

If spinal surgery was not needed, then it was a minor fracture of the spine that could be healed with rest and medication "more severe fractures MIGHT require surgery"...so sometimes it doesn't. I get the impression, however, that she suffered modest injuries...enough to require a good deal of healing time, and enough to cause some chronic back pain at least in medium term (dont know about long term). Significant enough to be traumatizing and painful and scary, but not serious enough to require surgery or to be life altering. hahaha sure she did Doctor , i just posted about your type , haha "" impression "" you are funny , she got hurt as much if she fell off a bike , they don't trust her to drive a car , you know little Doctor OTT fan . |

She said her back still bothers her sometimes. Was she in a full body cast ? most likely had hair line fractures which only needs being less active then usual , she plays you fans like game . Shhhhhh don't tell them it was a fender bender , they do play games on the not too bright of people , most now know them as flaky or weird . |

To believe she just spun a fake story from scratch and her family is in on it is in itself absurd to me and a far harder proposition to buy in to. Could she have exaggerated her back injury a little, i.e. broken back vs tiny fractures...sure, I think it's possible. But I give Jackie the benefit of the doubt on that. She hurt her back and still occassionally feels some pain from it. That's really the jist of it. |

You don't get it, do you? Mike's side of the family (not Lisa's, although she's been one to mostly avoid cameras herself) including Mike favor quiet and perhaps lower profile and a relatively conservative life...although life gave him a gay brother and an elder son that wanted to be a daughter, not to mention a daughter that could make a bigger splash than the rest of them put together. So he had to deal with it, since family loyalty is also a big part of the attitude. "All of the Stars" video hinted that might have been challenging for him to reconcile. :-) GUE was arguably also part of that family loyalty, in a strange way; trying to take control of a story that was out anyway. Complicated enough that few either old or young would understand both sides, and overdramatized as reality TV; in hindsight probably not such a good idea. But very human (humans being imperfect, despite the fantasies of some that there are exceptions). The recent perfect is too much pressure line (true enough BTW, I've seen its effects on other people) also fits that line of reasoning, sort of. Just more observer guesses, not claiming it's necessarily reality...but this observer has been to the ends of the Internet, almost. |

Most people know that one can spin details or let oversimplifications go uncorrected; but bigger fabrications than that are not worth the trouble, being too much bother to maintain consistency with. So in general I'd believe most of a big story more often than not, although with someone far more skilled than what we've seen, I might suspect the point of the (mostly true) story to be a misdirection. A surprisingly few of even Presidents had that level of skill sometimes. General Schwartzkopf pulled a nice misdirection, press conference of a force going one way that turned out to be a distraction from a much bigger force going another way. That's how you do it; a short-term misdirection with partial truth that doesn't have to be kept secret for very long, and can be easily justified when revealed. And not too often. That way, you don't damage your credibility (needed for both honest deals and occasionally to fool people effectively) too much for strictly short-term advantages that in less military circumstances, tend to implode later. |
