If you allow Disappointed to attack Jackie , then my post against that should be allowed , I don’t use bad language when arguing against what Disappointed is saying about Jackie! Yet you deleted my post! Oh well can’t fight City Hall ! Oh that right you aren’t a Jackie fan , thanks for reminding me! Now if I said mean terrible things about Jackie would you than allow it to remain?I have discussed this with you before. This should answer all your questions: I have said this many times: The purpose of this thread is to discuss Jackie, showbiz and items of general interest. So posts about Jackie, positive or negative, are on-topic. But posts about other posters fall into none of the specified categories above and are therefore off-topic.You seem to have trouble understanding this but if you persist in posting about other posters, your posts will be deleted ... Occasional posts about other posters are tolerated but only if they are very occasional. However, you make a good point about all posters being treated equally. So I now give you the same right to attack Jackie as Disappointed has. Disappointed also has the right to defend Jackie so you also have that same right. You are now equal with everyone else.

6. I would say the key would be to get some exposure by opening for a compatible artist. We all concur. Like GraceV did with Imagine Dragons and Florence and the Machine. The problem with Jackie is that GraceV had enough name recognition in pop to be interesting to ID and Florence. There must be a zillion small pop acts that want to open for ID and Florence. When they look at the statistics for Jackie's streams and followers, I don't think they would pick Jackie over her fellow aspiring pop musicians. That might leave Jackie doing a tour with Grimm. But he has no more star power than she does. But there may be other less well known pop musicians that would consider Jackie for an opening act. We'll see. It really doesn't matter how big they are in terms of mainstream acceptance but how they are seen by the people Jackie wants to reach. Jackie just would need to open for someone respected in the alt-pop world - even if they are not huge stars in a mainstream sense. The point now is to be identified as alt-pop and be seen as someone willing to pay their dues to be accepted. In a sense, she needs some street cred with the alt-pop world and that is the best way of getting it.

In a sense, she needs some street cred with the alt-pop world and that is the best way of getting it. I don't think the problem is street cred. It goes far deeper than that and it is the most basic problem in marketing: exposure. This is the 1st challenge faced by everybody who is trying to sell any product or service: My target consumers don't know I exist, how do I tell them I exist? (The 2nd challenge is: how do I get them to like my product/service; however the 2nd challenge is moot if you can't solve the 1st challenge.) GraceV had a much smaller obstacle with the 1st challenge. She debuted on AGT with her original "I don't know my name". It was a pop hit and pop fans found out about her from AGT and word of mouth. Jackie, on the other hand, is a CC star (at least to the extent that young CC stars exist) and the reaction of the public has always been: great voice but not my kind of music. Or: great music, now I know what to get Grandpa for Christmas. Unfortunately for Jackie, the vast majority of pop fans don't know she exists. Which makes me really really wonder why she released only 1 original song. Only a very small percentage of pop fans will ever find out about BME. Out of those, only a small percentage will like BME (it's always a game of numbers). And those very few pop fans who know of and like BME will go to Youtube and Spotify to look for more Jackie pop originals and find ... nothing (plus lots of CC songs). But not to worry, in a few months there may (or may not) be more pop originals. Patience is the true virtue. I wish I knew how to solve Jackie's 1st challenge without spending a huge amount of money that neither she nor her label can afford. Of course, if I knew the answer, I'd be much much richer.

2H (including part II) is on Spotify. That's five original pop songs plus two covers. You're right. But Jackie has done pop covers all the way from PTAD. Pop fans prefer to hear new songs written by the original artist, so that's 4 songs from 2H Pt2. But they are 6 years old, written when Jackie was 17. Can't Jackie do better than that?

Once again you're on the formula of persona and songwriting. Formulas are BS, there are way too many exceptions. Five originals (four that Jackie co-wrote?) is enough to hold until more of the upcoming EP (or the whole thing) is released. Someone isn't going to learn songwriting by magic just because they were born with the ears, voice, and brain to sing, and had the desire early. And it takes a lot of confidence to let anyone hear (or read) what one has written, as well as working with people who know what to fix (other writers, producers, or in the case of books, editors). That's been happening, if more slowly than you might recommend. edit: and The Debut was an independent release (presumably keeping the risk and cost down by doing covers) and CoT was constrained to be a cover album by Mollin not wanting to deal with writers who weren't already established as such. There are limitations that mean even if your advice is awesome, it might not be feasible to follow it.

Five originals (four that Jackie co-wrote?) is enough to hold until more of the upcoming EP (or the whole thing) is released. Sure it is. We know how much patience rutting animals have. And how many other pop singers the public has a choice of listening to. I have never recommended anything. I have merely used those fact to explain why Jackie's odds of success are as long as they are. But there is always hope. Grandma Moses did not paint seriously until she was 78.

Let's see now, website updated, reading an announcement for the play of BME on Bangkok Eazy 105.5 FM. (edit: a lot more replies and engagement on social media, too) Not doing nothing, anyway.
And that's only what we're told or can see for ourselves.
Must be other things being done that we'll only see/hear the results later. And as I said before, all sorts of constraints we know nothing about, as to what can be done when.
Presumably there will be continue to be more forms of promotion of BME before the rest of the EP is released.
