New music, oh no! Won’t be able to do the penguin waddle now. ROFL! So, what's your prediction...if you dare? ROFL My prediction is Jackie will do her same old show the same old way she’s been doing it forever. I predict that Uncle Len will still stand up after every song and yell out BRAVA. I predict that Jackie will look and sound as beautiful as ever. I predict the people there will love every minute of it and give her at least 3 standing ovations. I predict I should stop making anymore predictions. LOL!

Since the description of tonight's show advertises introducing fans to new music, I'll go with 3! New music, oh no! Won’t be able to do the penguin waddle now. ROFL! Your zingers are more than a decade obsolete. Time to get some fresh ones.

I wonder what the story is behind "Lost and Found". It doesn't sound like a song Jackie wrote.

I wonder what the story is behind "Lost and Found". It doesn't sound like a song Jackie wrote. Wait for the book, if there ever is one, which I kind of doubt. She doesn't seem the type to want to blab names and details; and some songs might be more "what if" or analogy than anything that specifically happened.

Right now, Jackie has only one upcoming concert and it is in the Staller Center on the campus of SUNY (State University of NY) Stony Brook on Long Island. Some comments on this concert:
1. The Staller Center has five theaters. The Main Stage theater seats approximately 1,050; the Recital Hall seats 380, while the three black-box theaters seat from 75 to 225. Jackie will perform in the Recital Hall, not the Main Stage theater.
2. The Staller Center calendar (https://www.stallercenter.com/Calendar.php) lists Jackie as Classical Crossover.
3. The Staller Center listing for Jackie (https://stallercenter.showare.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=389) mentions her classical singing 3 times: "her mastery over classical vocals", "creating Classical Crossover combos" and "remarkable soprano range". It makes no mention of her pop singing at all. While some fans may consider this a step backwards for Jackie, reality is that Jackie has many more CC than pop fans. Everyone would much rather have a successful CC concert than an underattended pop concert.
4. The Staller Center video preview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW_VS5drn_M) for Jackie opens with her 2010 AGT debut. This makes sense considering that the vast majority of the public know her only as a child opera singer. It then shows her singing pop songs. This is the only place where the Staller Center informs her potential audience of her pop singing.
5. I think that this is how Jackie's concerts will be advertised for the foreseeable future. Not until she makes a much bigger splash in the pop world, if ever.
6. I expect to see Jackie's upcoming concerts slowly trickle in. A concert in Nov would be a good example of "trickle".
7. If I recall correctly, one of Jackie's NYC collaborators is Anthony Nunziata. He will also be performing at the Staller Recital Hall, a Christmas concert on Dec 6.

A little surprised she is only performing in a room than seats 380. She can draw more than that, especially at a university/college. If I lived even remotely close to that area, I'd be all over that. lol About only advertising cc...this doesnt appear to be related to her new EP at all then...just a small cc gig that she actually worked out with them some time ago. I'm hoping to hear of several more gigs this year, advertised as last night's show...as a mixture of old and new. She's rapidly running out of time to do that though. She always advertises gigs at least 2 months out, which means may and june are out. That just leaves July and August, September is mostly out due to being on a working vacation in Italy, then Oct and Nov. December will likely just be for an Xmas show or two. So, she has four different months left where she can schedule hopefully several more shows somewhere. It's possible she won't though...time will tell. Hope springs eternal. LOL

Actually, I'm sure that Jackie will sing a few Stolla songs at the Staller Center gig. The Staller Center listing suggests this with lines like: "embarking on a new creative direction to tell her truth musically" and "she can tackle any genre with ease". The venue and Jackie just didn't want to scare off any potential ticket buyers by explicitly talking about pop. I expect they will similarly downplay pop for every other upcoming gig for the foreseeable future. Notice they did exactly the same thing with the concert this weekend at Spring TX. The description of that concerted included lines like "Jackie will be chronicling her career thus far as well as introducing fans to new music" and "Jackie is masterful within any genre of music". They never explicitly talked about pop but I'm sure she sang a song or two from Solla.

Yeah, any concerts this year will be much like the COT concert I went to in 2022, except instead of COT songs mixed in with the cc stuff, it will be songs off this new EP, although she has fewer songs to chose from this go around. I think she will try to sing more than just two though...I could see it being more like four. I hope Uncle Len, or somebody, posts the playlist from last night...that might give us a good indication. It would be interesting to see how many Solla songs she sang. Actually, she might leave a COT song or two in the play list as well, like she left in "Burn" when she did the Nashville concert.

Everyone would much rather have a successful CC concert than an underattended pop concert. I think in general, colleges and universities with a decent venue and a music department would be great choices for concerts that are a little pop and perhaps more that may not be pop. The music geeks would be fine with the variety, and even a little pop done fairly well would bring in enough some other students if the price was reasonable. Plus they have non-student regulars as well, which would like one or the other or both. And if the music department is good enough, they could provide (for a stipend) the string instrument players, who would get credentials as well as pocket money from it. Win-win. This works even better if they're the closest venue for the surrounding community with more than just amateur performances.
