BS, read what I said in bold above (that's not certain people that refers to a certain someone" This is what I said in an earlier post - not referring to a "certain someone": This definition (of Solla) is related to the lyrics in "Get Out of My Life", which Jackie specifically said refers to the people who pressured her to be perfect. Solla does not refer to "something" such as perfectionism, but to "someone". We don't know who the 'someone is, but I believe it refers to Lisa.
My post was long because for some reason proboards double spaced the sentences. Jackie in her own words said the song was about the people that made her feel that she needed to be perfect. You just don't like when anyone calls you out on your own BS. ROFL!!!! Well, at least we know you aren't a fan because you don't believe what she says about her own work. She just said there were some people who will hear the song and know they are responsible for her perfection problems. She didnt say the song is about them specifically or addressing them directly. You really think Jackie wrote a whole song about blaming someone for all her problems instead of focusing on the mental illness itself? I admit I wondered at first, but as I listened to her discuss it further, I realized what she is actually saying. And in any event, even if you thought the song is only about this person, I guarantee you it wouldnt be about Lisa. She said its someone in the music industry, not her family. And she wouldnt attack her own mom like that, especially putlicly....that's crazy. Just a year or a year or two ago she was calling her mom her hero in an interview, by the way. LOL Where did she say it was someone in the industry? I do recall Lisa saying Jackie would end up in a rubber room if she had to do Danny Boy again (unlike her usual one take, DF had her do lots of that to get it exactly as he hoped, and it was never on a CD or done live, just released as a downloadable bonus track). That was early, and she's certainly worked with DF more than she had to since then. And it may not be the only example. But early experiences sometimes are a delayed contribution to later issues. I don't like the idea of blaming Lisa, and I don't think it mostly fits. But she would likely herself acknowledge being both driven and often less than tactful. With little feel for diplomacy and possible misunderstandings, one can say something that's meant to be reassuring ("don't worry, it's just baby fat") but have it taken totally the wrong way. Mainly I don't like formulaic explanations that either include OR exclude something simply because it's provocative, or that are more simplistic than the real world often is.

I think it was an Instagram post she did where she was talking about the song, although I'm not 100 percent sure. I guess it could have been in some interview if I'm wrong, but I think I'm right.

Overall, I think Jackie and Greg did a great job on it. I really like the final produced version of Get Out of My LIfe....first time hearing that.

If this is the source from where Jackie acquired the definition of Solla, then she deliberately removed "something" in her tweet while leaving "someone". Case closed Case not closed. Her Facebook and Instagram posts have "something" left in. Twitter/X has a length limit. At most that implies one is a better fit than the other, not that both don't apply. Well, you're dead wrong about that. Twitter/X allows for 280 characters. The definition of solla including the phrase "or something" that you posted from the website has 264 characters. The definition of solla without the phrase "or something" has 258 characters. Both definitions are within the character limit. So two things are likely true:
1) Jackie eliminated "or something" to emphasize that the album title is about people or a person and not about a thing (such as perfection) 2) Given the choice between eliminating "or something" rather than "someone", she deliberately eliminated "something", which means the album title is about "someone" and not about "something". If it was about both, she would have left "something" in the definition.

Case not closed. Her Facebook and Instagram posts have "something" left in. ... Well, you're dead wrong about that. ... So it seems that for Jackie, "Solla" sometimes refers to "something" and sometimes to "something or someone". My only conclusion is that Jackie has not made up her mind, otherwise she would be consistent.

Let's play a guessing game: how many Solla songs will Jackie sing tonight?
My guess is 2 because that's the max that the audience can tolerate.
