Ive been here from the beginning. A forum is about the artist and fans visit these forums, thats what happened initially. If you dont like that fans go on artists forums, don't use forums. There is no such thing as a balanced approach coming from someone who uses multiple accounts and aliases to deflect and gaslight such as acting like a fan, posting off topic links. Fair criticism only comes from those who respect the artist. If you don't respect Jackie then its just attacks and no fan is going to go along with it. If you were there from the beginning, then you would know that anybody with an Amazon account could participate in the Amazon forums. There was no requirement for posters to be Jackie fans. There was no requirement for posters to act like Jackie fans. There was no requirement for posters to be balanced or to respect Jackie or to post fair criticism of Jackie. There was no requirement for posters to post only about Jackie. Posters were free to post about any other artists they wanted to and to compare Jackie with any other artist they wanted to. The reason I know posters could post anything they wanted was that I was there and I posted anything I wanted. I was a Jackie fan part of the time and I was a non-fan part of the time (although I was always a fan of her career and I still am). Some posters agreed with me and some did not. But I always felt perfectly comfortable in the Amazon forum posting anything I wanted to post. Amazon forums are no more, but this forum continues that tradition. I was there also from the beginning but I just read the posts at first and started posting when I felt comfortable to do so. Amazon was fantastic at first but slowly and surely got inundated with undesirables to say the least. I thoroughly enjoyed my sparring partner Discover.

As has been explained to you over and over again, this forum takes a balanced approach. Jackie gets praised when praise is due - and criticized when criticism is due. If you want to see nothing but OTT posts about your beloved Jackie, you have come to the wrong place. If you don't respect Jackie then its just attacks and no fan is going to go along with it.Exactly what are they going to do about it? They can learn to deal with it or they can leave. Yes you've been here since the beginning, and since the beginning you've been trying to change the way it's run and create your own rules. You should have discovered a long time ago that you can't do that. You can create your own Jackie forum and make your own rules, but you can't do it here.

Unfortunately, Jackie attracted quite a load of undesirables those first years of her career. Lisa kept order in her forum and Mike was involved in the fan club forum, so anyone who crossed the line was banned. Sims, Rick Olsen was banned twice, Gern. Im sure there was more but I can’t recall them right now. Over at Amazon there was an opera critic who called herself Cabbage juice who was fiercely critical of Jackie.

Unfortunately for him that was short lived when Lisa banned him from the forum. If I recall he was the first member to get the boot.

Mike and Lisa banned msims and Rick twice? Hahahahahahaha...now that is hilarious. Matt was banned because he published a link to a Jackie video or audio that he was not authorized to publish. I thought the ban was unreasonable and I argued against it. However, I don't recall him being banned twice.

I was also booted from JEFC. I wrote that Jackie's team should make the appropriate contacts regarding Jackie playing Deanna Durbin in a movie about in her younger days. During the 1930's and 40's, Deanna was an incredibly popular teen singer and movie star with a wide range of styles. In 1946, Durbin was the second-highest-paid woman in the United States. Durbin wanted to expand her career options, but was so pigeon-holed by producers and the public, that a few years later she retired and moved to Paris. Durbin's fan club was huge at her peak, and still large when she died in 2013 at 91, still living in Paris.
So on JEFC I described Durbin and the movie role Jackie could play. But since I was talking about another singer -- not Jackie -- I was summarily kicked out of the club.

As I recall, you paid to join the Jackie Evancho fan club giving you access to join the (original) forum. After a couple of years, Team E created a new forum that was run by Lisa for which there was no cost.

Sounds like the parents shouldn't have been running that. lol If they were charging people to join that site using Jackie's name when she was never on that site sound crooked as hell. No others do that. Is it no wonder why Jackie is not liked by her age group.
