Nice to see her enjoying herself and looking relaxed. She's private about her personal life, so we don't really know what her dating status has been. I would like to see her enjoying herself with some people around her age. Looking at the audience it looks like an AARP meeting. I wonder who set that up for her. Not sure why I have to keep reminding people of this..Jackie doesn't like hanging around people her age in general. Her whole professional life, she has mostly been around older people. She relates better to older people..Jackie as said that herself. Some people are just that way. She likely gets enough of people her age with her siblings, extended family, and family friends.

www.audubon.org/magazine/how-common-loons-eerie-call-took-over-pop-musicThe sampling of anything from eerie bird calls to bits of classical music is interesting. Far from wanting to go off in their own direction totally disconnected from what came before, there seem to be many who want to hint at connections, if not quite obviously enough to trigger the barf reflex in classical haters.

Nobody hates classical music. The truth is much worse. In order to hate something, you have to think about it and it has to matter to you. For the vast majority of Americans it is completely irrelevant, it doesn't matter, and they have never given it a second thought.

There are still people out there that like classical music 🎶 just not as big of an audience as other forms of music 🎶! Rap sure doesn’t take much talent!

For the vast majority of Americans it is completely irrelevant, it doesn't matter, and they have never given it a second thought. There's a Russian word for that, nekulturny (uncultured, at pretty much a trailer trash level). Ultimately it comes down to a complete lack of curiosity, interest, or awareness of the history behind one's likes of the moment. And it's symptomatic of many other things, like living from paycheck to paycheck when even a little savings (and don't tell me the vast majority would starve if they set something aside) would in time free one of that worry. 30 second or less attention spans unless a powerful hook is presented within that time, are a crime against humanity, and most of the media has fed that. Darn few people are so pressed for time that they couldn't pay attention to something for longer, if only they were willing. But most people are willingly sheep. Which means if the SHTF, they're barely even cannon fodder.

uncultured, at pretty much a trailer trash level If you choose to think that love of classical music makes you superior, that is your prerogative. It's a free country.

But not superior enough to care if a singer is classically trained or not. I'd say that makes him an ignorant poop, uncultured trailer trash. BTW, he conveniently ignored my comment about the a few days ago.

Most people can't tell, and couldn't care less, if a voice is or isn't "classically trained". They only care if they like what they hear. People will take a singer who they connect with, who moves them emotionally, over a technically trained voice every day of the week.

But HE's the one who believes that people who don't like classical music are ignorant poops and beneath him, but people who are really into classical/opera DO hear the difference if someone isn't trained to sing that kind of music. Jackie isn't, so he claims that it doesn't matter. It DOES matter to musical snobs, and he's a musical snob. Yes, people will take a singer who they connect with, and they don't have to be classical singers, of course then they are ignorant poops and trailer trash.

But what people get with Jackie is this.
While other young singers you get this Who do you think people are going to want to see. Hell we don't even get videos of Jackie's most recent concerts. 54 below is a night club that people go to no matter who is singing. Jackie is just boring to most people that know of her. Boring concerts, boring social life, boring songs she sings, boring as hell stage presence.
Jackie is just getting small shows that she is invited to like 54 below and very few of them. Seems nobody is willing to shell out the money to rent an arena for her. Jackie just made to many mistakes over the years. The biggest of course was having a mom/pop management. You can forget about these different managers they claim she had over the years. So who is in charge of her site. Looks like they didn't take down her concert from April 20 and it says no events scheduled. www.jackieevancho.com/events

But better less than fully trained technique (don't pretend she hasn't had some training and a lot of coaching) than simply abandoning the good stuff for cr@p.

NOBODY's social life is public property or legitimate publicity. Let people live under a rock if they want to, it's none of anyone else's business. Just because some like jiggling and facepaint and trashy behavior and special effects, that just means they're hormone addicts with no independent brain function. That's not art, it's just a bit less than prostitution.

If a perfectionist really wants to sing classical music properly, then YES, they would torture oneself with years of training. If they choose to be mediocre, then don't bother, and maybe end up having to abandon the 'good stuff' for pop crap.

She looked and sounded great there. She is who she is, and I think who she is, is pretty awesome. So she doesn't have major pop star qualities. At least she allows herself to be who she is...she's authentic, and it gave a career that most singers would kill for. I would go to a show, like this one at 54 Below, for her voice and authenticity, in an intimate setting which allows for some audience-performer interaction/connection, not for a highly extroverted personality or flashy show in an impersonal, giant stadium sized concert audience. I have zero interest in that, no matter who is performing.
