I hope your first thought is the answer, but I fear it's your second one. But we should know soon enough, depending on if we see some more Solla-related concert dates pop up.  They'd never cancel something like the Tuscany Trip for some Solla concerts that could be scheduled any time before or after the trip. And it would be very rude and inconsiderate to the people who booked that tour. That's a really big deal and something people would really be looking forward to not to mention spending over $5K per person. But it is a shame that it was cancelled for the fans and for Jackie. She seemed pretty excited about it. I agree. That's why I lean strongly towards the "she didn't get enough takers" to make it worthwhile. |

Sadly, a wasted opportunity. They spent the session talking about her time with Tony Bennett and Robert Redford. They did at least pitch the EP in the beginning and end of the interview though, so at least it was mentioned. And for people who really don't know who Jackie is, all of the talk about the people she's met and sung with would give them a reason to look her up. All PR is good PR, plus it didn't cost her anything and she didn't even have to leave the house. |

Too bad it was another "when did you know could sing?" question and a rehash of old news. I had impression that these interviews were meant to focus on and promote the new product (cd). The interviews with Jackie regularly go down the path of how she got started....not sure why. |

Ten Jackie concerts in six states over seven years. Beyond that you do not need to know who I am. It's none of your business, so relax. Prior to or after Jackie have you listened to other CC singers, they are not trained so to speak but they know what they are doing. CC tend to be more breathy. Why is this an issue now though when she has an EP coming out in two days? Either way, this is something to address to her if you are an actual fan. Jackie began the COT tour with two back-to-back 54 Below show date nights. Now she's following up the release of the Solla EP with the same - two back-to-back 54 Below dates. Will she soon announce some sort of mini tour for this release as well? Or, a few additional concert dates at least? Will be interesting to watch and find out. And, now that Italy is cancelled, she has even more time available to perform. lol

Well, its not exactly good press to announce an event has been cancelled due to poor sales. But it was supposed to be over 4 months away. I am not sure how many that planed to attend would have even bought tickets yet. Well, for a big trip like that, you usually book it a ways ahead of time...its not like a concert where you can just buy tickets right before the event. It must have been that the number who showed interest was not good at all. And, its not surprising. If Jackie has trouble at times selling regular concert tickets, you could image selling $6k/person tickets might be a really tough sell. The Kraft Tour people must have a way to measure/gauge sales as the event gets closer and if they aren't hitting certain marks so many months out, they can project it won't sell enough to make it financially feasible based on historic trends. And you can image they would need to reserve the flights/lodging, etc so many weeks/months out in order to get certain deals on the pricing. |
