Well, for a big trip like that, you usually book it a ways ahead of time...its not like a concert where you can just buy tickets right before the event. It must have been that the number who showed interest was not good at all. And, its not surprising. If Jackie has trouble at times selling regular concert tickets, you could image selling $6k/person tickets might be a really tough sell. The Kraft Tour people must have a way to measure/gauge sales as the event gets closer and if they aren't hitting certain marks so many months out, they can project it won't sell enough to make it financially feasible based on historic trends. And you can image they would need to reserve the flights/lodging, etc so many weeks/months out in order to get certain deals on the pricing. I finally found out that so called friend whom you got the information about the cancellation from, AIRPORT JOE! ROFL! Wasn't hard to find it jb...lol. One correction...never said he was a "friend"...I don't know the man personally at all. Just have had a couple of very brief exchanges with him on Instagram. I determined some years back, after watching his behavior online and even ripping him for some of it, that while he is very OTT, he's harmless and actually does care about Jackie's well being...Evancho airport encounter infamy aside. lol I'm glad I did ask him if he was going to 54 below in June...that's when he mentioned that the Italy trip had been cancelled...good information.

The Italy tour might have had better chances of selling tickets if it was 5-6 years ago. Jackie was more well known as a CC singer, and it would have been fun to hear those songs in a European venue. Now that Jackie's producing more pop songs, I don't think fans would want to hear "Behind My Eyes in those venues.

The Italy tour seems similar to a celebrity cruise. Whoever shops Jackie around probably also tried to book her into other similar gigs. Traditionally, from these companies' perspectives, booking Jackie would seem like a no-brainer. Her CV has always been impressive to read, so if that's what you go on, you book her. But now, especially in the last few years, it's kind of obvious that your history doesn't pull your wagon if you don't have whatever TikTok-style marketability numbers bookers want. Jackie's long and glowing blurbs might now come across as exaggerated or even irrelevant. The gap of time is growing between now and a significant body of accomplishments of the past.
The Italy tour being cancelled is not good news. In whatever way she handles this new direction, it has to include the expectation of an uphill climb. Hopefully her new EP is a solid rung on that ladder.

It's just yet another indicator of the state of her career in recent years. at the height of Jackie's career she was busy and had more options and M&L were alot more involved in the decisions. However no I dont think it would have sold out at that ticket price then or now, she has not been marketed in Italy and frankly I doubt the italians would take a child that seriously. That was the issue back then. I also think Jackie herself as a child would have been too nervous to sing in Italy at that time. I vaguely recall Lisa touching on it maybe someone else remembers.

As I have always said, and always will say, none of this will ever amount to anything. Ever. Because it is based on someone who never did have legitimate musical talent, but was a circus act who won a big lottery.
The Italy trip was a gamble that there are still enough rich OTTs who would cough up that much money to go, but as I said in the past, how many of those nutjobs' wives would agree to spending that amount of money so those goofs could follow some young girl around Italy? LOL! And most of her old single OTTs likely have a police record, so can't leave the country. In the end, not enough law abiding and independent nuts with big wallets.
The EP will amount to nothing as well, you can book that in Beachguy's vault. Sure, there will be a certain amount of steams that OTTs will jump up an down over and celebrate, in denial that such small numbers are totally meaningless.
But the tiny OTT cult will continue, until the nursing home or funeral director comes calling....Very soon.

Spotify streaming totals for BME 2.0 may be making some headway ...
Considering where the streams were a few months ago, I don't think any of us imagined it would be pulling 20K Spotify streams in less than a week. BME 2.0 appears to also have been added to a few more prominent Spotify playlists (Sad Songs 2024, Love Songs 2024) so the increase in streams should continue for at least a few more weeks. All in all, I would consider the doubling down on BME to definitely have been a good move by MP and things are looking a little more positive. I agree with everything you say but I am not as optimistic as you are. This is why. Jackie's increase in BME Spotify streams, which has occurred in the last 2 weeks, is very narrowly based: 1. Her Spotify followers have not increased significantly. 2. Streams of Smoking Gun and CQ remain dismally low. 3. Her social media followers have not increased significantly. 4. Youtube streams of BME, Smoking Gun and CQ remain low and have not increased in the last 2 weeks. This applies even to the BME music video which was released only a month ago. 5. Jackie's Google Trends has shown no increase in interest in the last 2 weeks. One might argue that it should take a while for the BME success to spread more widely. But a new Spotify listener who likes BME is not going to wait a week to sample Smoking Gun or CQ. They would either do it in the next few minutes or never at all. Nor would they wait a week to check out the Youtube BME music video. So what is going on here? This is my hypothesis: Jackie has been marketing BME heavily to streaming platforms, radio stations and other decision makers and internet influencers. And she has been successful in her efforts. BME has appeared on playlists and on radio. This led to the jump in Spotify streams in the last 2 weeks since every playlist subscriber automatically streams every song on the playlist whether they like them or not. But getting playlist and radio exposure is only half the battle. Ultimately, listeners have to LIKE the song (and, equally important, the singer) they are hearing. And the facts I have presented above suggest that is not happening. If listeners liked BME and Jackie, they would follow her, they would listen to Smoking Gun and CQ and they would watch the BME music video. Stolla has been released this morning. Its success would be a good test of my hypothesis. Will Get Out of My Life, Lost and Found, and Broken Things go the way of BME or will they go the way of Smoking Gun and CQ? As I have said, I'm not optimistic.

Oh give me a break a lot of Jackie fans can’t afford 5000 dollars, her fan base can’t afford such a sum of cash 💰 need that to pay bills 💵 and food 🥘!

The question isn't whether BME or Solla will launch Jackie's career as an alt-pop or AC singer on their own - that is not realistic. Rather, do they give something to build on. Those she is targeting have no idea who she is or don't care if they do. As I have said repeatedly, treat her like a new artist. For the launch of a brand new career on a small indie label, this is a pretty good start. It also lets them know what sort of songs will be more likely to gain airplay in the future. So try to get a gig with a more established act as an opener in that genre. It doesn't have to be a major artist - just one with a loyal audience who might like Jackie. Then you plan for the next EP or LP. Maybe get a more upbeat or at least varied mood since Jackie is in a better place mentally these days. Just keep contacts with streaming platforms and radio stations and get their input.
You would be amazed how much of success is based upon familiarity. People who are indifferent to a song will often start to enjoy and seek it out if they hear it repeatedly. That is why so many songs by new artists sound like songs that are already hits. It's piggybacking on what works. Google "millennial whoop" for an example.

Agree...Jackie is starting her career from scratch in some ways...at least as far as trying to find and audience for her original material is concerned. It could take years of writing and releases to achieve some level of success with it, IF it happens at all. I think some of her material actually is good enough to find market success in the long run...but it's a tough business to break into as we all know.

A lot probably can afford a trip like that, but what are the odds that it's going somewhere that you want to go? Going to a specific location that you don't really care about, just because a singer that you like is going to do a private concert, is more than OTT, it's insane. Buy a ticket at a venue near you and you'll probably get the very same concert.

Oh Disappointed, this is merely her first EP of originals...she has to work at breaking into a new market and find a new fan base. It's a tough business...who knows if she will eventually find success with a new audience. But it can take years to establish that. Jackie's in no rush...she's young and working hard at this song writing thing now. She just needs to continue to be persistent with it. Time will tell if she finds success with it, but she has time. Frankly, I think Solla is quite good for a first go at it...better than I expected tbh.
