Eulenspiegel that is your opinion that Jackie is a mediocre singer! It’s your opinion not mine ! You have the right to believe what you want, just like I have the right to think Jackie has a great voice! Jackie's awesome Colty! You know it, I know it, even he knows it deep down inside. LOL ;P

Thats right, because she is always marketing herself to her already large, loyal fan base from the reality show days. Being in a movie flop won't hurt her career when she has loyal fan base already. The movie was merely tangential to her career and a side note to her followers. The one thing being in a movie does, even in small role, is add to her resume. The little I've seen of her acting...well...lets just say she has no special natural acting talent. But she can dance, and she is well liked by her fans, so it really doesn't matter if she can act. She's a reality show personality....that's what she sells. And she can dance, which is definitely a talent. Sia should stick with song writing and singing. Maddie already went from this www.rottentomatoes.com/m/musicto this. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_fallout_2021 Also Jenna Ortega and Maddie became good friends and Jenna helped her in acting. Dancing actually hurt her at first in acting because in Dancing on stage you are taught to over exaggerate your expressions. Maddie has a few movies coming out and she doesn't dance in any of them. I always thought if Jackie had a good management company like what Grace and Maddie uses she could have had a lot more gigs in different areas beside just singing. Jackie's only acting jobs was because people came to her, not her management actively seeking new gigs. I can't believe Jackie couldn't have gotten some commercial work and endorsements which would also have helped her enlarge her fan base. A management company like WME will assign agents that deal in several different areas like singing, commercials, TV appearances and other things. Grace and Maddie probably had at least 5 different agents, they both had an agent for IMG modeling which is owned by WME.

Why are you promoting Jackie when you hate her? Seems a bit passive aggressive It is just info Where did I say that I hate her..I think that she is a mediocre singer. (as she never really put work into it, develoved) .that her CC music is trash..like 99,9% of CC music..it is not about hate.. Yes, she had some talent..but she wasted it all, did not work on it… she had the totally wrong role models… She is very likely a very nice person..I have no problem with her or her sister whatever.. I only think that her music sucks. Well, I meant why do you hate her music. That still doesn't explain why you provided a link that promotes her new CD. Maybe you should stick with Big Jake

Spotify streaming totals for BME update ... On 4/15, BME totals were: BME 2.0 18,000+ BME 57,000+ Combined 75,000+ On 4/27, BME 2.0 42,000+ BME 57,000+ Combined 99,000+ On 4/29, BME 2.0 54,000+ BME 2.0 58,000+ Combined 112,000+ On 5/1, BME 2.0 61,000+ BME 58,000+ Combined 119,000+
On 5/7,
BME 2.0 78,000+
BME 59,000+
Combined 137,000+
So BME 2.0 seems to be holding steady at a few thousand streams per day average with a higher amount on the weekends and lower midweek which is common. So far, it is doing fine all things considered.

My main interest in the movie is what it could mean for Grace Vanderwaal.
Maddie Ziegler was in West Side Story (2021) Like Megalopolis it had a well known producer (Steven Spielberg) a large budget and it was going to be his baby as the original West Side Story (1961) was a tremendous hit.
Some here may even remember seeing West Side Story (1961) ...West Side Story (2021) was a significant financial failure, grossing $38.5 million in the United States and Canada, and $37.5 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $76 million. The film needed an estimated $300 million in order to break even
Even though Maddie Ziegler was only in it a couple of minutes at most. She did all the promoting for the show going on the late night shows and even representing the movie at the Oscars While the actual Star of the show Rachel Zegler wasn't invited until the last minute after a lot of people complained about it.
Maddie was the star of Sia's Movie "Music" that was a disaster but Maddie still came out way ahead of the game because she got a clothing line from Kate Hudson who was in the movie and is part owner of Fabletics.
Yes it is always best for a move to do very good. But just being in a movie can open doors for someone.
Also directors and producers will be watching Grace acting regardless of how the movie does.
West Side Story was Rachel Ziegler first acting job and she went on to make several movies the last one was
staring in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
I don't think the financial failure of WSS (2021) had any negative effect on Maddie. Even though it failed at the box office, it did get excellent reviews and didn't turn anyone off since it was pretty faithful to the original with only a more spectacular set as the difference. I saw the film and I was a fan of the original and expected to be disappointed but thoroughly enjoyed it. The main problem is that the last time big budget musicals consistently made money was in the mid-1960s. Sure, you get a few exceptions with cult films like the Rocky Horror Picture Show and a lesser budget Fiddler on the Roof but you don't see big budget musicals making bank any more.
Maddie's role was only a part as a girlfriend of one of the Jets and she had one line. She was mainly there to dance and (hopefully) pull in some young fans. That's probably why she was at the opening - to get people to know she was in it. it is the only film I have ever seen her in so I obviously cannot say anything about her possible acting talent. She seems to be moving more in the Olsen Twins direction with fashion. It could help since she was available when they needed her and availability and reliability can be determining factors in close calls.
It's Grace's third movie and her first "serious" movie. Her role is in a certain section of the film but is one of the main characters in that section. I expect that she did a very good job both because she can act and because Coppola, who is willing to get rid of people when they don't follow direction, has been praising her work on the film. Whether or not the film is financially successful, the fact that she worked with one of the greatest directors in history and got good grades should make her marketable with other directors.
It is also a chance for Grace to have fun and shock some people. The film is intended to be over the top with the decadence of the rich and famous (anyone who saw the photos from the Met Gala knows what I mean). We all know Coppola has a special gift for the theater of the absurd (Apocalypse Now) and this apparently is pretty much in that vein. One scene supposedly has a very decadent party where Adam Driver and Grace's characters copulate in a giant bowl of candy. That might be this film's equivalent of the "I love the smell of Napalm in the morning" scene from Apocalypse Now in absurdity only in a more lighthearted fashion.
Imagine some bean counter for the studios looking at that 50 years ago. No wonder Hollywood can't figure out what to do with his movies.

I'm all for decadence, copulating and bowls of candy, as long as it has its place in the story. Caligula (the film) went way too far in depicting the depths of a depraved Roman emperor (although there was a particularly well done "L" scene, but it had nothing to do with furthering the story). Anyway, I'm just wondering how much of the "Vesta Sweetwater" story from the leaked script survived into the current movie. Do we know that Grace will be rolling in the skittles? I'm okay with whatever role she plays, I'm just not sure how much we actually know about her role. I'm also not sure how much I really want to know. If anyone is inclined to post anything that will spoil the film, please preface your post with "SPOILER ALERT" if you decide to reveal any bits of the film.

Speaking of crude remarks look what Rick Olsen post about Jackie’s smoking gun song 🎵 ! Even if a person doesn’t like a song you don’t have to be so crude with your remarks!

Crude remarks are talking about sex in a giant bowl of candy. I don't think Rick is being crude. He is just expressing a negative candid opinion. A number of posters agreed with him. youtube.com/watch?v=vxuoanB6tMs [Smoking Gun video] @rickallanolsen 1 month ago (edited) I've seen Jackie live 4 times. Don't get me wrong, but her Classical Crossover and her voice were so much better way back when. Her voice was unique, but for a long time she's sounded like just any other pop singer. She'll never equal Dream With Me when she was 11 again. Likes 30 Dislikes 0 @rickallanolsen 1 month ago (edited) @cl9786 I stopped buying her music when she put out a CD called The Debut. It sucked and everything she's put out since sucked. Dream With Me was the best thing she's ever done. Likes 10 Dislikes 0
