If anyone is interested, the Cannes Film Festival (or at least portions of it) are being streamed live:

You can’t dispute Jackie’s Gold record made with David Foster , Dream With Me! That early album went gold which obviously can't be disputed. Unfortunately, most of her albums over the last several years haven't come close to the early success of that album. Heavenly Christmas was certified Gold also. Along with sales of Silver Screen those alone add up to 3m including dvd and worldwide units. Plus she charted on B200 with Awakening, Someday at Christmas, and Two Hearts. Jackie is an AGT Icon therefore bringing up the past and promoting the EP is🔥 That icon status has dimmed considerably since those glory AGT days. Jackie is clearly trying to turn the page from those days. Seems like some in the press and of course some of her OTT fan just can't turn that page. AGT is HER STORY. Expecting her success to be ignored or for a fan to "turn the page" is not reasonable or reality. Only Jackie and Lindsey have accomplished high chart debuts and sales in the music business in the last nearly 14 years and they both were contestants from a 2010 season. Because there are those who found their success by being social media personalities and/or showing their assets, what worked for them wouldn't necessarily work for a vocal artist. Disappointed likes raining ☔️ on Jackie’s parade! in this case there was no parade to rain on because Jackie's private concert was cancelled. During one of the many interviews that Jackie did that day: someone asked her about a tour and she said, "We're in the process of working on that. Just keep an eye out for it."

That is true, which is great. Hopefully its not too much of a struggle for her team to get some dates and venues lined up very soon.

Cumulatively those numbers are good, but that isn't how most record labels look at it.

What counts is Lisa said they didn't see any money from those first albums. That is why Jackie started going on tours. The big labels use creative accounting such that unless you're multi-platinum, everything is an expense against any royalties due. Movie studios tend to do this too, which is why anyone that wants a percentage, wants a percentage of the gross, not the net (which will be near zero if there's any way the studio's accountants and tax lawyers can pull it off). Albums and tours complement each other, regardless of which makes more money. Yes, you can sort of do an album-free release of individual streaming tracks, and a continuously updated set list when touring. But that lacks big chunks of new content and a distinctive name setting it apart from previous tours, and is harder to get publicity for, so that's certainly not going to work for everyone just yet. And what works in the studio (like a solo singer doing multiple tracks) doesn't necessarily work live, at least not without backing tracks minus the lead. And the instrumentalists available on the road may not be the same as in the studio, so music may have to be rearranged. Unless all you want is lip-sync and dancing and special effects, and you really don't care about actual live music at all.

You make new music 🎶 so when you do future concerts you don’t have to sing 🎤 the same old music, established artist will always mix in songs that are there fans favorites!

I think 🤔 Jackie has been working hard 😓, she has been giving a lot of interviews and is working in the studio on her music 🎶! Ido think there’s going to be more future concerts once Jackie and her team work out the logistics!
