mentioned again that some more small venue concerts are incoming That's no surprise. Her upcoming concerts are 54 Below and Stony Brook, all sub-400 seat venues. I suspect that small venues are the only ones expressing an interest. What is particularly interesting is that Stony Brook has a larger theater but they chose to book her in the smaller theater.

Noteworthy things from the interview: Jackie claims she lives alone. Jackie has now been in a happy relationship for about a year. But before that, she was in a relationship that ended badly. 28:42 to 31:36 - Jackie reveals that her pre-AGT life had many highs and lows and was not the simple happy life one might expect. Jackie would like to talk about this someday but is not ready now. 37:41 - "I hate the fact that my career lies almost solely on social media now." 43:06 - "When I was in high school, nobody embraced me there was a small select group of people that were open minded to me and the thing [with everybody else] is that they saw me as this famous girl with such a perfectly privileged life and they hated me for it." She also was asked if she still believes in God, mentioned again that some more small venue concerts are incoming. and was asked what her favorite food was, which I found a bit of a cringy question to ask a struggling anorexic. She did seem to struggle with that question at first, saying she's never been picky, then she seemed to remember liking steak as a kid. Small things, but kind of interesting. She also said she definitely lost thousands of fans singing at the inauguration, but instead of saying she regretted doing it, she said some people just wouldn't listen to her explanation for why she was doing it (which I respect, because she was basically standing up for herself and defending her decision to do it for the reasons given), and then went on to talk about her great fear about cancel culture in general. Jackie also mentioned that before AGT her mother sent her on a trip with some radio guy whom she claims was actually a convicted pedophile. YIKES! She also mentions that there’s a lot more trauma that’s she’s not ready to reveal yet. Geez! I guess we’ll have to wait for the tell all book to come out.

"Did you take that from personal experience, or ... were you trying to relate to our generation ... ?"
The smile that those last two words produced on Jackie's face said a thousand words more.

The interviewer did an excellent job. She didn't spend half the interview dwelling on AGT and was someone her age treating her as an artist who has something valuable to say to their generation. This had to make Jackie happy. Even the few silly questions she asked served a purpose: If you sense a person you are interviewing starts to feel uncomfortable with a line of questioning, you can switch the topic to put them at ease and then they are more open to speaking freely on other topics rather than getting defensive. This is by far the best interview of Jackie I have seen and is a win-win for both interviewer and interviewee.

Those kind of statements make it easier to understand why Mike and Lisa put such a large chasm between themselves and the Jackie fandom. It was difficult to understand what was going on at the time as there were many, many good regular folk among her fans. It takes just one or two bad eggs to spoil the entire batch.

BS I don't believe for one minute that they let Jackie go with some radio guy alone when she was younger than 10 years old. They don't let Jackie go anywhere now and she is 24.

You know how she likes to pull out a new whopper when she does an album interview, to get more attention. I expect the next one will be that she met some satanist cult members backstage and they asked her to sit on their pitchforks.

Jackie didn't bring it up eagerly...it was kind of pulled out of her and you could tell she decided in the moment to bring it up. I believe it, but it's not that big a deal really. She's not saying that he did anything to her, she just found out later about his past. Not that dramatic...it was just illustrates why she is so paranoid and cautious. It's not difficult to believe at all...there are no doubt plenty of convicted sex offenders out there. Newsflash, Jackies says there is more that she hasn't talked about but will someday. Not at all surprising either, although sad.

They did do that for all we know. But it's also possible they didn't. I probably wouldn't think to do that myself in that scenario...unless of course he had done something inappropriate to her. But if he had driven her to the destination uneventfully and I found out months or years later that he was a convicted sex offender, I would be like "Wow, oh really? I never would have guessed. I guess we need to be more care in the future", and I would have moved on. Very plausable that it played out something like that.

Jackie always had a family members with her and before AGT she wasn't even known. Yes she did a little local interview right before AGT but Lisa was right there with her. Jackie even talked before how Lisa would drive and they would stay in a motel and Jackie would get so bored she would cry.
This is just more of the same feel sorry for me that she thinks will work for her, and it will do just the opposite.

Agreed. Too many sex offender cases are statutory rape cases where there was total consent. There are bad laws that have ruined too many lives. I would not report a sex offender unless I knew the circumstances of his/her offence.

But s/he was a convicted PEDOPHILE, which is a danger to children, so I highly doubt that the victim gave consent. Like donkey said, perhaps they reported him, I certainly would have. Pedophiles are the lowest of the low.
