I'm not saying that it should be free, that's up to Jackie, but it would be very good promotion for her, and that's something that she really needs. I don't think very many non-fans are looking to remotely attend a Jackie show at a small restaurant in NYC., even if it's free. I think the only people interested are what's left of the Jackie fan base, those who follow her and know what's she's up to via her social media. Many of them are likely very willing to pay the very modest $28 to see it. Besides that, it would be quite unfair to the people who made the effort to actually attend the event, who paid full ticket price to see the show, to then see those who didnt come be rewarded with a free show. This remote concert is an attempt to up the ticket sales revenue, while giving show access to more fans. I think it's a win for everyone. It would be VERY interesting to see how many remote tickets end up getting purchased. That would be a huge indicator of how much interest remains in her. It would indicate how many fans are still fans, but can't or won't travel to go see a concert. But if fans watch it and really enjoy it, and send the links to people they believe might enjoy it, and they do, they'll send it to others. That's how videos go viral. And the more people who see it, and enjoy it, and look her up, the better. Besides, other than having someone record it, it's not going to cost them any additional money because they're already paying to put the show on.

Sorry but that’s stealing from Jackie. 🥴 Not if you're a fake priest and you pay her from your fake collection box.

"Live from 54 Below is a new series featuring streams of LIVE performances direct from Broadway’s Living Room! Designed to make more shows accessible to fans from across the globe and to recreate the live experience, all shows will be presented exclusively at the time of performance with an in-house audience and will not be available on demand afterwards."
Quite obviously, the live stream is something the venue offers, probably pays for and expects to make back more than they paid. Probably the artist (and accompanists?) gets a bit too.
Since in this case it's venue facilities, services, arrangements, etc, it's their choice that it's not made available other than live.
I'm not sure whether copyrights, royalties and the cuts everyone would expect would be the same or different for live stream vs on demand. If different, that would be a complication.
I'm not likely to attempt a screen capture recording (something I've never even attempted before, although I could do a trial run on something else), I'll be lucky if my internet connection is doing well (it doesn't like hot weather, so I may end up watching on my phone, if it isn't). But someone may. Although 54/Below (not Mike!) could probably put a takedown on that if it were posted.

Jackie maybe small time, but to Jackie fans she isn’t! Again you are speaking from a non fan’s perspective! You would never go see Jackie, you want to watch her free Utube videos! Just to show how out of touch Jackie's management is/was
Mike took down videos of Jackie's concerts claiming it was stealing from her. Its is a dirty dog tactic applying 2011 to 2024 .

A lot of modern artists have to look for alternative revenue streams to support themselves. They don't make anything from physical media as streaming has taken over. Streaming pays very little, so artists are dependent on live performances to make money. The last time Jackie was in my region of the country was in 2012. For other concerts, I've had to pay for airfare, hotels, meals, etc. in the past, so IMO, $28 is a very fair price for the show. Hopefully, this concert is successful so that future shows are streamed as well.

I hate to break the news to you, but the chances of Jackie's singing her playlist at 54 Below "going viral" is near zero. There are already videos of her singing some of her new original songs on YT. Did they go viral? And those videos are nicely produced and they remain accessible on YT, whereas this show is live once, and then its gone. Jackie is trying to earn a living still singing...she should be paid for her shows. If she wants to have a chance at a video going viral, she should post more videos like these for more of her new songs. Besides, this live show can't "go viral" anyway...its a one and done live event. The produced videos of her singing these songs can, as they are posted on YT for all to see.

I agree with you Donkey 🫏, Jackie should produce more videos, it’s not rocket science, when she does a show she should be paid, but she needs to get up and make some more videos!

Br549 Fake Priest ! Not liking we’re you are going with that ! Maybe you'll like this one. It says this fake priest had an outstanding warrant in Pennsylvania. Is this Jackie's fake priest?!?! That one was a burglar who stole from churches, nationwide. Do crooks specialize? Or could a burglar also be a perv? I dunno. It does show there are such things as criminal fake priests, though. This one was caught on April 10, 2024. Assuming Jackie's mention of fake priest was earlier, that clearly did NOT inspire fiction. (that's not proof of anything either way, and it's not even proof it wasn't the same guy much earlier, but it eliminates one fiction theory) There have been other fake priests. Some for money (charging for services legitimately not charged for), some pervs too. So not at all impossible.
