Black Keys, Your Favorite Vegas Show Girl, Greg are ALL songwriters. Greg and the Keys have been streamed well over a billion times. Jackie has written or co-written maybe 10 songs or so but the most streamed songs of hers are covers. Most of what Jackie fans purchased and listened to is her covers. BME 2.0 continues to get played in stores. They may not stream Jackie's music on spotify in great numbers but it does not mean its not being played or streamed elsewhere. And this will affect what they get as songwriters. However, I have never included those numbers in any estimation just as I have not included income acting, modeling, or social media other than to say it exists. The reason is there is no basis for any such estimation. I also don't have solid numbers for their income from other services since they are not as transparent as Spotify. The best I could do in those cases in figure it would be double to triple Spotify income given the latter is a certain percentage of the market and the others have a better pay scale. Even with Spotify, there could be some freakish exceptions until the volume of their streams reaches six figures a month. At that point, volume takes over and 95% of the data will be within two standard deviations of the mean. This gives us pretty much certainty that they are making something close to that average per stream.
That is not the dispute. See below YOUR position is: your favorite is making money hand over fist. If thats the case: Caz asked you for receipts you haven't responded. Taylor Swift is making money hand over fist. Grace is making impressive money for someone who essentially has taken most of the last four years as vacation time. Her streaming income is six figures - impressive given the situation but certainly not in the millions and certainly nowhere near an Eilish, Rodrigo, or even McRae and certainly not anywhere near Ms. Swift. Since you now say you do not dispute the $0.0032, then it is merely a matter of adding up the streams and calculating the totals. I did that and people are obviously making money since the stream totals even for a non-mainstream artist like Grace can get in the millions per song on a regular basis. That is the reason why I made a post that Jackie could make a decent living on past streaming totals if she could get her monthly streams to 500K per month. As for Disappointed, she (everyone identifies Disappointed as she but I don't know the person) apparently doesn't do math well and only objects to the data if someone uses it to indicate Jackie might be able to pay bills in the future. Enough recording artists have leaked their pay per stream and Billboard has revealed the total average payment per stream (based on corporate filings) and know the contract signed with the labels so we get how much is being paid (about $0.02 is paid by Spotify per stream and this is divided according to the agreed upon terms ( www.billboard.com/pro/music-streaming-royalty-payments-explained-song-profits/ ) . The percentage of the total to the artist is 16% and that is where the $0.0032 per stream arises (0.02 X 0.16 = 0.0032). Now this can change and the stats I gave were from the last five years. According to what BGOC posted today, that may increased to over $0.004 per stream but I'll go with the lower total for now.
The rest is just statistics. Unless you think somehow your favorite artist (or someone you don't like) will defy the odds and be the (un)luckiest person on earth and get struck by lightning while eaten by a shark in an elevator whose cable snapped and is hurtling to the ground, the result is just doing basic math. There can be high or low payments when you have only dozens of streams a month but when you get into half a million territory, not really.

Although he competed on AGT, he was not a champion as I think he got cut by the judges. The next year he competed on American Idol and won there.

That is the reason why I made a post that Jackie could make a decent living on past streaming totals if she could get her monthly streams to 500K per month. Jackie is heading in the wrong direction. There is no realistic way she will ever get to 500k. Jackie almost made it to 160k monthly spotify listeners at the peak of her new album. Now she is down to 102,398 monthly listeners. Even if we are talking streaming across all platforms, Spotify is by far the largest. It takes Jackie much longer to come out with a new album than anyone else. I doubt that she has enough money to make decent music videos and her social media number are much lower then before she came out with Behind My Eyes. This poor little me attitude she is trying to portray is not working and is having the opposite effect by turning people off. People would rather visit someone's site that are cheerful and always doing something.

Jackie's name is the problem. All the sh!t that has tainted her name has stuck to her name. Anything she does under that name is going to be rejected offhand. Like when you're flipping through LPs at a used record store and see a Milli Vanilli album, your fingers ain't gonna stop flipping until you get to something that you actually looks interesting.

Jackie's management/Mom and Pop pushed her as the perfect little 10 year old that was on AGT for so many years that people never stopped thinking of her that way and Jackie has done little to change that. As someone said here Jackie is the granddaughter everyone wants not the granddaughter they have.

Jackie grew up with bad role models, so it rubbed off on her ! Look at Gabby Barrett’s father when he lost his job he wasn’t to proud to work at goodwill being a maintenance man ! Now look at the result Gabby has a good career , she is married and has three kids !

As someone said here Jackie is the granddaughter everyone wants not the granddaughter they have. BS. Some of the photos they allowed were not perfect 10 y/o photos (cake photo, "boobs and beads" photo, etc). They (and Jackie herself) were pushing back against a stereotype that the LABEL (the various Sony ones) wanted. She's not the type to rebel on the level of drugs and orgies (thankfully! however profitable a few have found that, there are physical, mental, and other health risks that some have not survived, not to mention that such a radical 180 will have people thinking that EVERYTHING you do is fake), but small stuff, yes. But they could only subvert that stereotype just so much and expect to retain the label's support. That also applied to exploring other genres. Clearly the Sony labels had a problem wanting anything other than more of what did well early on. They didn't have clue one that a young artist needs to be able to grow and explore. You can say they haven't done well applying the more DIY model (although there was more DIY going on than most people think, just behind the curve). But you can't say they pushed an unrealistic vision of Jackie. It clearly doesn't help that Jackie isn't comfortable engaging much on social media with strangers. But heck, that's part of why I worked in a cubicle, and NOT a help desk (not to mention that IMO figuring out how to fix something or solve something is more interesting than figuring out what Clueless User was actually trying to tell me). The odds of encountering day-ruining sh_theads go up with at least the square of the number of people you interact with. Not everyone can handle that, and there should be ways they can pursue their preferred career that don't require it.

Sabrina Carpenter Music Video "Taste" with Jenna Ortega surpassed 12.5 million Views in 23 hrs and is #1 in music trending. I was betting on her getting at least 1 million views in 24 hours and it well surpassed that. Jackie is such an unknown now she could use the same strategy and make music video with someone who is well known.
Actually Sabrina Carpenter's singing career really didn't take off until recently. She has done several things others on this site and myself suggest Jackie try doing. But Jackie seems to just want to use the same failed ideas she has used for years. #1 Jackie needs to get a team behind her who is up with today's times. Not a label that specializes in artist from a different era.

Total BS !! yuck & Richard are right on correct . Sharp reply, reminds me of Kirk's "double dumb a__ on you!" line in Star Trek: The Voyage Home. There's so much that some who leap to judgmental conclusion don't know, don't consider, or have forgotten.

Ah yes, here we go. You are correct. Nick Fradiani, a musician from Guilford, Connecticut, competed on the ninth season of America's Got Talent in 2014 and made it to "Judgment Week" [1, nick fradiani, musician, 1985-11-15]. In 2015, he won the fourteenth season of American Idol as a solo singer, becoming the first winner from the Northeast region.

Thing is, it's really true...not just hyperbole. Msims really is the Cliff Clavin of this forum. lol It could literally be raining outside and msims would spend the next hour trying to convince all of us that it's a sunny day.
