Just a thought for all to ponder. Everyone seems to think Jackie is nothing but a classical-crossover artist, but TMS proved that to be dead wrong. Jackie should watch 'SOUND OF MY VOICE' which is a mini bio of Linda Ronstadt. She learned very early that a one trick pony was not for her. She went on to OWN Country, Pop, Country-Rock, Rock and even light opera. 31 albums over multiple genres with over 100 million sold. She wasn't into fancy wardrobes or a lot of special effects. Linda never wrote her own music either.
Jackie's voice is versatile enough to follow that path and be successful for many, many years. She has put herself back in that ten year old with a big voice box. Her comments when she was unmasked on TMS were that she had discovered a new side of her voice and would pursue it. Of course, COVID could be blamed for her not touring with the KITTY side being featured. I think an album of the songs she sang on TMS should have been produced and released. I will always follow Jackie and pray she finds her niche in the industry. It would be great if more members and guests were more supportive rather than all the hate speak.

Jackie has as good of a singing voice for POP music as any of them, But her MOM/POP management team has made so many mistakes in the past that it will be very hard for Jackie to over come and make it as a new pop singer. But the fact that she says she is still going to sing her CC music tells me she is not into recreating herself as a Pop Singer 100%.
As I have said several times just listening to people on this site shows Jackie's fan base the Boomers (59 to 77 year olds) will not get along with her Gen-Z generation (11 – 26 year olds ) or Millennials (27-42 year olds).

I think she is into being a pop singer, but it's not going to be easy, she'll need a LOT more original material and find a way to get it out so the public hears it. And while mental illness songs are therapeutic for Jackie, I'm not so sure they're what the general public wants to listen to. Even others with mental illness need a diversion from it rather than a reminder. Linda Ronstat was lifetime ago, back in the day when you could have a successful career singing covers, and many did. In fact most of the singers of yesterday sang covers or songs that were written for them.

In fact most of the singers of yesterday sang covers or songs that were written for them. There were other things besides the acceptability of being a cover artist at the time. She did work her way through the system, touring with big names, associating and collaborating with the right people, as well as having the actual talent to back up an extremely wide variety of genres. All that helped her maintain career continuity. If there was anything like a decline (notwithstanding her situation with Parkinson's now), she nipped those periods in the bud by doing something different, like doing another fantastic album and tour. It also didn't hurt to date the governor of California, but that's just the kind of thing that happens to talented famous people, so that one's kind of a wash.

It also didn't hurt to date the governor of California Informal personal arrangements lead to, at a minimum, prolonged discomfort in heck. And some loss of respect. Not to mention being unceremoniously dumped when you're no longer convenient.

Informal personal arrangements lead to friendships, romance, sex, fulfillment, social advantages, comfort, support, longevity, and sometimes heartbreak. Just curious, why do you always type "heck" instead of Hell. It's called Hell. Typing Hell won't put you there. The word is not a curse. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! But anyone that fails to behave like a fundamentalist (non-violent type) that takes their rules seriously, deserves at a minimum a few years in heck.

As a side note, there is a recurring character in Dilbert named "Phil the Lord of Heck" who would punish you for things like taking a pen home from work and parking in someone's reserved spot while they are on vacation. He carried a large spoon rather than a pitchfork. Naturally, you were not damned to heck - you were darned.
