I was curious about this, so I counted the posts made in the past 24 hours, through the first five pages of "Recent Posts".
I counted 16 posts in the Ziegler thread, and 56 posts in other threads.

Socalfan made a major mistake when he gave guests full forum access to post. Rick, you made that change. I did not. But ultimately I don't see how it makes a difference whether a post is made as a member of a guest; it's the same post. The two most prominent posters on this forum are richard and Frances something or other. Frances is a guest. All they post about is maddie and friends. 9 out of 10 posts are about this topic. There are 8K+ posts on this forum. There are 930 posts on the Ziegler thread. Lately, the Ziegler thread has been more active but the ratio is nowhere near 90%. Why would it matter to anyone how active the Ziegler thread is. Unlike what Rick said you do not have to read through it. My god it is as simple as when you click on recent threads just ignore it. |

I don't read posts on this forum anymore. Almost every post is maddie and friends. I am not a 12 year old girl and I couldn't care less about maddie and friends. This forum has become a total waste of time.

I don't post here that often, however I do come here quite regularly to read the posts.
I think Socalfan has done a great job with this forum although I have my reservations about agog. I like to see people saying what they truely feel without an admin blasting them for it.
I don't know who Richard is from the Amazon forums but his posts are the most interesting, no matter what the subject, also very informative. He has his views and he has the right to express them. Maybe he does post a lot about the Ziegler sisters, but let's face it, there is a LOT more happening in their lives!
The Amazon forums were very lively, the chat was sometimes OTT, but I used to enjoy reading the posts in the evenings. Anonymity helped there. Maybe everyone here should remain anonymous, although people would need to register a name so everyone is different and not all 'guest'.
As for Amazon, does anyone know what happened to Discover?

Richard is Rickky from Amazon. I agree with you that he keeps the forum interesting, but not everyone agrees with us on that.
IIRC, Discover was banned from Amazon and has not been heard from since. He belongs here, but not everyone will agree with me on that.

Sorry to see you leave as moderator (but we look forward to your posts as a regular member; I have always enjoyed you posts). I have removed you from the Admin group. Your departure makes sense since our visions for this forum are different. In particular: Socalfan, the supreme high poobah here, sort of likes the trolls I don't just "sort of" like trolls. I like them, period. But I also like leg humping Chihuahuas, irksome anti Jackie pests, Jackie fans, guests, Crusaders, cesspool waders and Klingons. You may recall that when Rob was being banned from Rick's forum, I argued in favor of keeping him. I seldom agree with Rob but I felt his opinions were worth being expressed. There are many Jackie fan forums on the Internet but this forum is unique because everyone is welcome here, not only fans. This forum attempts to preserve a diversity of opinions and that cannot be done by banning posters. If necessary, we will restrict posters to specific areas of the forum. What is noteworthy is that you complain that I favor the "trolls" but Disappointed and Tidbits have also complained that I favor the hardcore fans. Clearly, I have achieved the perfect balance - both sides now despise me!  This is a very small site. Less than a dozen people have been on in the last 24 hours. Why does it need 3 moderators? If it were truly in the spirit of Amazon, it wouldn't need moderation at all, other than someone to look at submitted complaints to see if they are valid and possibly delete the odd extreme post. Socalfan could do that. I think that is correct. This is a minimally moderated forum and the moderators are like lonely Maytag repairmen (only people as old as we are understand that expression). There were several several regular posters at Amazon who did not consider themselves "fans" of JME. They mostly were interested in the phenomenon that was/is Jackie. How would the dominos fall? Here is where I diverge from your assessment of what happened at Amazon and what is repeating here. I don't see the posters I am feuding with as advancing a diverse or different opinion. One could agree with or refute another's opinion. Such discussion was the heart of the early Amz forum. What I see here, as at late stage Amz, is people exercising their sociopathy. They are not here to posit and defend a position, or to put forth reasoned rebuts to a different position, but to pester others who do. I encouraged him to signu up and he did. He likes Grace V as do I and he keeps his Grace comments on the Grace thread, not knocking Jackie or Jackie fans as do the several permanent guests and their anchor baby rickky. The problem with dealing with them is they are persistant and they win just by getting a response from their target. I am sure Agog was POed when I presented evidence that Jackie would not be having a big payday at that symphony event, that she was just a contracted guest performer who gets a set fee. And I have no doubt that he was particularly rankled when I presented evidence that the beloved Jackie Coin is only worth a fraction of what cultists paid and are asking for it. No doubt he owns one or more. It is truth, and evidence to back that truth up, that really sets off these obsessed fans. And anyone forcing them to consider that truth is automatically their enemy. They consider this to be "pestering" as Agog puts it, and they then result to personal attacks because they are unable to refute those truths. |

It's no wonder he's not able to refute you. I don't see that post as a personal attack, rather a comment on cult members in general, and my suspicions of why Agog has "nothing but contempt" for me, as he puts it and why he went on a campaign to ban me specifically. In fact, my initial post here was regarding Richard being sequestered to the Ziegler Girls thread, and Agog who instantly came out swinging at me. You can go back and read that for yourself. That was one of the reasons I decided to stay here, rather than that just being a one-off guest post. As an Admin, would it not have been part of his "job" to read each and every post? And as for the coin, it would be unlikely that he would not have one, being the long time exuberant fan that he is. It's possible he doesn't, but it would be unusual. |
