Proboards is set up as a "one person is Supreme High Poobah" who can even delete the entire forum on a whim. We've seen that happen twice.
If I remain a mod here I'm going to reestablish the guest thread. Give rickky the troll a week off as warning and ban Disappointed. He can come back as a registered member.
Amazons downfall was it's lack of moderation which ultimately attracted trolls who were delighted to find a forum to pester without the consequences they had experienced at other sites with mods who kept things on the track the site was established for.
The trolls eventually pestered many of the serious and often critical members off the site. Only a few top posters came over here. As many trolls came here also.
Socalfan, the supreme high poobah here, sort of likes the trolls (sort of WAS one too). Chandelier swinging was and is fine with him. He thinks it's some sort of "free speech" thing. It's not. It's just trollery.
So! On to the subject of this thread.
How about Beach Guy as a mod?
Or rickky? He's active.
Maybe one of the "guests."

Agog is a name-calling troll and should have been gone long ago. He wants YOU to start your own forum, LOL, he should take his own advice and start a Jackie Worship forum, he can be Dictator and gordy and Rob can be his Admins. But the 3 of them are too lazy, they'd rather tell everyone else who took the time to start a forum how to run it. You can't really blame them though, they DO get their own way. |

Is agog going to rename this Pro-Board from Amazon - Revisited to Lisa's Probroads Revisited.
Seems socalfan just said there was nothing wrong with posting the Sia video yet the general thread still have their panties in a knot over it, calling me a troll LOL. agog should just stick to Rick's forum if he is that biased.

This is exactly how immature, obsessed people operate. Once someone gives them their way, they keep wanting more and more until they are telling everyone else what to do all the time. And their main tactic is to throw tantrums like a child until others buckle in to their demands. Now this particular child wants to take his ball and go home. Unless he gets everything his way, that is. Then he will stay and only let the kids play ball that kiss up to him and do what he wants. It's actually quite funny, as well as being sad that seniors act this way. But it is what it is. I really don't care anymore what happens here. I've said my piece and it is based on why this forum was created in the first place, instead of everyone just going to Rick's forum. I'm not interested in posting at a worship forum. In fact, to call either this site or Rick's a "forum" is totally inapplicable, going by the actual definition of the word: fo·rum

You should just quit I went back quite a ways on my post to see which one you could call me trolling and didn't see anything show me which one was trolling unless you think posting the new Sia video is somehow wrong everything I posted socalfan was ok with, you seem to be the problem.

However, my question is, why does anyone have to replace you? Why don't you just resign. Just say "I resign as moderator as I am completely biased and can't control my emotions." And that's it. This is a very small site. Less than a dozen people have been on in the last 24 hours. Why does it need 3 moderators? If it were truly in the spirit of Amazon, it wouldn't need moderation at all, other than someone to look at submitted complaints to see if they are valid and possibly delete the odd extreme post. Socalfan could do that. |

Sorry to see you leave as moderator (but we look forward to your posts as a regular member; I have always enjoyed you posts). I have removed you from the Admin group. Your departure makes sense since our visions for this forum are different. In particular: Socalfan, the supreme high poobah here, sort of likes the trolls I don't just "sort of" like trolls. I like them, period. But I also like leg humping Chihuahuas, irksome anti Jackie pests, Jackie fans, guests, Crusaders, cesspool waders and Klingons. You may recall that when Rob was being banned from Rick's forum, I argued in favor of keeping him. I seldom agree with Rob but I felt his opinions were worth being expressed. There are many Jackie fan forums on the Internet but this forum is unique because everyone is welcome here, not only fans. This forum attempts to preserve a diversity of opinions and that cannot be done by banning posters. If necessary, we will restrict posters to specific areas of the forum. What is noteworthy is that you complain that I favor the "trolls" but Disappointed and Tidbits have also complained that I favor the hardcore fans. Clearly, I have achieved the perfect balance - both sides now despise me!  This is a very small site. Less than a dozen people have been on in the last 24 hours. Why does it need 3 moderators? I understand Agog's frustration. Socalfan is the dictator here. We other admins have no power to do anything. Socalfan made a major mistake when he gave guests full forum access to post. If given any access at all it should be one board only. The only advantage to being a member is the right to post and PM. Socalfan took that away.
The two most prominent posters on this forum are richard and Frances something or other. Frances is a guest. All they post about is maddie and friends. 9 out of 10 posts are about this topic. The only way to read this forum is by using Recent Posts so you must wade through EVERY maddie and friends post. Having seperate threads accomplished nothing except to clutter up the forum.
There is no discussion here about anything. It is all maddie and friends. It is not amazon revisited. Guests should be sent back to their own board, or better yet not be allowed to post at all. I would be happy to do it.

The two most prominent posters on this forum are richard and Frances something or other. Frances is a guest. All they post about is maddie and friends. 9 out of 10 posts are about this topic. There are 8K+ posts on this forum. There are 930 posts on the Ziegler thread. Lately, the Ziegler thread has been more active but the ratio is nowhere near 90%. |

You have banned everyone from your own forum that does not make worshipful posts, so that makes you a first class dictator. This despite the fact that you so enjoyed going on Amazon and making major negative rants on several occasions. Then when your account got banned, you were on the phone for an hour pleading to get it back until you discovered you could use your old account. I am sure you would be happy to banish or ban guests or posters you don't agree with, since you do that on your forum. What mystifies me is, why not stick your your own dictatorship and not bother coming here? Any Jackie news here will wind up on your forum anyways, so if that is all you are interested in, stay there. Then you wouldn't have to read anything about the Zieglers, etc. Same thing for Agog. |

I don't know where you get your information. I had no old account at Amazon. I was never on the phone with Amazon. There have only been three members banned at our Jackie fan forum by vote of the admins. I have never banned someone I don't agree with. We banned troublemakers who broke the rules.
