This man giving the facts should go to his neighbor and talk to the children who drop out of school mostly because there is no father , children can learn if they want to if 40 or 10 in the class as its the same material , the country needs low skilled workers but the desire to work must be within the young person . It is not the schools or teachers but the students themselves that hold them back . Ps. many children do not have the mental ability from their gens to study some subjects .

Kids that home school needs about 3 hours a day to keep up with public schooled kids. Seems public schools waste a lot of time.

But if we look at the larger picture, public schools serve a much broader function than that: They are the chief way in which children are indoctrinated, socially and culturally. |

Correct and why it is so important which school do you want this indoctrination to lean , right , left , middle ? for your children |

There is also the possibility that class mates, teen friends have a higher IQ, more responsibility than parents. Btw one reason for mandatory school in Germany is that there is control, no abuse etc. at home. Kids are not the property of parents, everyone is an own individuum. One extreme big problem in the USA is the big brother is watching you helicopter parenting. Brought to school, take home from school, brought to sports, music, everywhere cameras, every step is controlled...when they are grown up these kids still needs mama and papa for making a job interview etc. |
