Well, finally the perpetually cancelled Florida concerts are done and gone and in the books, much to the glee and happiness of the promoters, I am sure. Not likely those promoters will venture into that quicksand of booking Jackie ever again. So now just the Jersey pier event that she has done a couple of times in the past. Likely this year booking her was more of a favor than anything else, a familiar act and at a low pay rate, to be certain, in comparison to other acts. Sort of their sympathy charity payout based on her sob stories of the recent past. Are other venues chomping at the bit to book her when she comes out with her "Jackie Evancho Phones In Joni Mitchell Songs" album? That is the real question. I think not, but who is to say how many trillions of dollars Biden will pull out of his ass for the upcoming budget, knowing nothing ever has to be paid back and that interest rates aren't ever going up more than a quarter point a time, even if inflation hits 20 percent? Maybe some of those trillions going to the non profit venues that Mike continuously trolls for in his Rolodex. If so, she will get a few more gigs. If not, sayonara. Glad to see you’re still trolling yourself around here Yasmine, but I’m a little worried myself about that cover album. I’d like to know what possessed her to think it was a good idea. I now consider all of her "cover albums" to be "phone in albums". It is obvious that she is not attempting to make even a minimal effort, and is just relying on the brain dead OTTs to put some cash in her bank account. Better than slinging Panera bread, I guess. At least for now. BTW, is Jacob still slinging bread at Panera? |

Maddie Ziegler made her debut at the Oscars yesterday.
after the awards Maddie went to the Vanity Fair party.
Unless Jackie pulls something out of the hat her days in the spotlight are gone, Her own fault for not making original songs or branching out like she said she wanted to do.

Well now whenever anyone mentions the night Will Smith blew a fuse at the Oscars, Maddie can say. "I was there."
Of course, of all the young female stars discussed on this forum, Billie Eilish had the best time at the Oscars, as she won an Oscar for the James Bond theme "No Time to Die".

When Jackie needed professional management was after AGT. Still the old lying con game. Jackie had pro management after AGT with Marc Johnston which is not a fact any of the trolls have acknowledged. "As with anyone who works with Jackie, they are always blown away by her voice, musicality and her sheer passion for singing," said manager Marc Johnston. "Jackie speaks with her parents, manager and record company about song selection and set lists," Johnston said. "Jackie also gives input to stage design, lighting and clothes and outfits." "The people of Utah have supported Jackie with CD sales so we wanted to let them experience Jackie live," he said. "Jackie is excited to be coming to Utah." No. It was Lisa's request during Jackies dwm tour that videos werent posted because she was just starting out and it was a question of whether Jackie could profit off those videos/Sony was withholding money most likely. However Jackie's demo/audience wasnt and rarely was/is the typical cell phone shooting audience to begin with, they were too mesmerized by her. But to say had there been many videos it could have expanded her audience is less likely. Rarely do these videos do her justice anyway and there would have had to have been a flood of videos on youtube and she never had a huge base on youtube which boggles my mind. Mike is easily a scapegoat for those who play loose with the facts of her career and its stupid if not childish to suggest any of those names could adapt Joni's material. Jackie is very much a versatile singer who can comfortably perform any kind of material and until you or anyone who has a history of trolling and lying has heard the album and bought a ticket and heard her sing it live, you don't get an opinion on the matter.
Sims is still beating dead horses I see. Marc Johnston has no track record apart from serving as David Foster's toady. Of course, OTTs like to bring up Foster despite the fact that he has not been a major factor in the pop recording industry after the 1980s when he was known as the master of bombastic pop kitsch. It was only fitting that he move into CC where he could make a lateral move to bombastic classical kitsch. Marc Johnston was one of Foster's toadies and partnered with him when he used to try to remain relevant off finding young CC type singers. Marc Johnston has had no impact on anyone's career apart from being a Foster toady and the fact that his "agency" manages just about no one apart from Jackie is pretty indicative that he is nowhere near being an expert pro.
As far as the videos go, if Sony wanted it taken down, their own phone call would have a lot more impact than one from Lisa. There are instances where they did that but those were for the use of Sony recordings rather than live concerts. It is when a singer is starting out that such live videos are most useful. People see them and then want to buy tickets. Later, when the singer is an established superstar, such videos have no real purpose as everyone knows who they are and the tickets will sell out no matter what. Usually then you see the management start removing videos - not because they dislike the idea - but because they want online videos restricted to professional productions. There it is a quality control issue. This is what happened with Taylor Swift as they used to allow videos until she became a superstar and then they disappeared because they didn't want people seeing her as recorded on a cheap phone. With Mike and Lisa, it was simply a case that with the management and videos, they never wanted to pay what was needed for real management of a career when Jackie was a hot commodity.

But ultimately, the point is not for Jackie to find a Joni song that suits Jackie's voice and style. What Jackie needs to do is re-invent a Joni song such that people no longer think of it as a Joni song but rather as a Jackie song, such as what Whitney Houston did for "I Will Always Love You" and what Bobby Hatfield did for "Unchained Melody". Sadly, that is unlikely to happen and I expect that Jackie's next album will be popular only among Jackie fans. |

However, I would like to hear how Jackie would sound with the up tempo song Help Me and also I'd like to hear her sing Case of You - I think she'd sound nice singing that one. In addition, I'd like her to work on Both Sides Now...work on that interpretation and make it really nice...I know she can do a better job on that than from what I heard in that concert clip. Yes, she needs to sing these songs differently than the original versions and put her stamp on them. She needs to make them almost seem like new songs in a way and really catch people's attention. But that's is HIGHLY unlikely. She needs someone to rearrange the music and help her make it her own. |

Look at the words "The Parker" behind Jackie it looks a lot smaller by her waist and in focus then by her head. They were probably shooting down on her at a fairly close range. |

According to my information...Disney kind of was responsible...as she is shooting in London the did not want to take any risk because of Covid...if Zegler would be infected...it would stop the whole shooting... btw.
