Most of the guest coming here to view must just be going to the Ziegler Girls and Friends thread and not bothering with Jackie in any ways, Since 9-6-2018 The ZGAF thread gained 22708 views compared to the largest thread "general-discussion-entertainment-etc 11889 views. Also seems the ZGAF is picking up steam and is growing at a faster rate. What agog and rob49 needs to do is stop complaining about how this is run and spend more time find thing to discuss about Jackie.

The only advantage I see of compulsory registration is allowing us to list all the posts of a member, but that feature is mainly useful for moderating members and not important for a minimally moderated forum. I believe that Amazon never had that feature. Seeing a list of all posts is beneficial to quote or remind someone what they said a week or more ago. With "guests," one needs to literally pour over every thread page by page. Amazon did indeed have that feature. It was the first thing they dropped when they began the process of shutting down. The disadvantage of compulsory registration is that some posters might leave. And casual poster would be discouraged. I think the cons outweigh the pros. No one would have to register. I can't speak for Rob. As for me, I realize there are few to no current events to discuss about Jackie. But if that is the only reason for mandatory registration for posting privileges, it seems to me to be insufficient justification to inconvenience a Guest just for our own convenience. I prefer to let the guest make the choice rather than force him/her to register for the sake of our own convenience. |

Socalfan is the only moderator here. I was booted as a mod for announcing I was going to ban BG, give Rickky a three day suspension and maybe delete the Z girls thread. I'm not sure if that is a complete list. It's quite searchable though, unlike the "guest" posts. I do remember opening that post with "If I'm still a moderator here in a few days, I will..." I was booted that day. Lol. Good day for a boot |
