Back on November 21, 2011 Paul Grein listed Jackie Evancho as one of the possibilities for BEST NEW ARTIST at the 2012 Grammy's. " Paul Grein, who wrote the weekly Chart Watch blog for Yahoo.com., has been reporting on the Grammys since 1978. He has been forecasting them since 1981, when Bob Hilburn first asked him to do so for the L.A. Times. He has an incredible record for accuracy, which is why his appearance in these pages is such an anomaly." As of 2019, he writes for Billboard. Prior before the nominees came out at the time a writer for MTV also listed Jackie as a possibility. And btw Christina Perri is listed as another possibility, its funny because she tweeted about listening to Dream with Me. I am going to most definitely conclude that its a "possibility" Jackie inspired the amazing CC sounding song that she wrote, A Thousand Years with its 2 billion youtube hits. -- Btw Susan Boyle was also a possibility that didnt happen. Andrea Bocelli was in fact a nominee and he remains the only CC Nominee that im aware of who was nominated for Best New Artist. Josh Groban shockingly was not nominated and here is the only quote I can find where he was asked/answered about Jackie: web.archive.org/web/20110103055724/http://www.thedeadbolt.com/news/109279/josh_groban_natalie_morales_christmas_rockefeller_center_interview.php"I think she has a great amount of potential. I think that as a fellow singer, I have to kind of separate being a fan from just being somebody who is thinking about her mental and vocal health. I think she has a wonderful sound and, like I said, a huge amount of potential. I'm very happy for her success. I would just say that I hope she's also allowed to be a kid. I also hope she takes care of her voice because, as beautiful as it sounds now, it could sound even greater in the future and I just hope she doesn't do any damage to it."

Jackie's fan base just can't get over the past Jackie is 22 now, not even a teenager much less that 10 year old girl they keep bringing up. I hoped the masked singer would put Jackie on the path to getting new fans, She sang very good and they even taught her to move and dance on the stage which she really excelled at. But seeing what little there is of her last concerts she is back to the same park and bark she did as a little girl.

We actually know what inspired "A Thousand Years" - a fictional love affair between a teenage girl and a vampire. That is actually the subject matter of the song. It was written as a featured song in one of the movies in the Twilight series. The music fits in with the "goth" motif of the film. Are you aware that you can use Google to find this stuff out?

eulenspiegel so no one takes Jackie serious , you sure don’t speak for Jackie fans! She even herself does not take it serious...she never invested real work into it...until now...it has been a fly in the pan...always about making money without investing real...until now it has been never about music. for comparison

Jackie will never be the kind of musician you want her to be. She can only be the kind of musician she wants to be.

She even herself does not take it serious...she never invested real work into it...until now...it has been a fly in the pan...always about making money without investing real...until now it has been never about music. Jackie will never be the kind of musician you want her to be. She can only be the kind of musician she wants to be. The thing is, she isn't a musician at all. She was a kid who got on a national talent show through an abnormal Youtube experiment route that got quickly axed, and that being after she was rejected twice while auditing in person. Her mother duped fans of other CC artists to vote her through. Then she got on the show at the exact time the world was going wild about the Susan Boyle appearance and the whole talent coming from unusual sources schtick. She also lucked out into having an AGT show coach who brought out the best in her at the time. So she then parroted her way to 2nd place with some opera type songs that kids usually don't sing. And has ever since ridden the coattails of that flash in the pan experience, which initially resulted in large album sales due to extreme hype from Oprah, QVC and Foster, and an initial fairly steady string of concerts. But most of that has now dried up, almost 12 years later. And unless you live in 2011 like Simsy, those days are long gone. As far as being a musician, she plays no instruments, can't read music, never went to music school to hone her skills, can't write songs, makes no real effort to further her career through promoting herself, and is really no better of a singer than several other child classical wannabes that are in the mix. She is simply hoping to continue riding the little girl in the red dress schtick until she is 80. But I think the game is pretty much over now.
