That's what I'm talking about. There isn't a drop of her CC voice in this song. This is her natural voice. The CC thing she's been doing forever is affectation. It might sound good, and she has proven the cabbagegeuses wrong by doing it safely, but it is a layered-on technique. This isn't criticism as much as pointing out a difference. She makes pretty sounds doing CC, but this performance proves she doesn't have to Josh Groban-ize everything. She should let it go for future albums, not to sing Sia songs necessarily but to expand her song possibilities.

On the matter of the classical crossover category, even a cursory glance proves Sims is wrong.

I said that it was "only" instrumentalists who won that Grammy and just because you found an example (that wasnt really a CC album and not a CC vocalist) winning does it mean that I was proven wrong? No.

Trying to get Sims to get any of this is like banging your head against the wall. There's no point. lol You could have clear cut evidence on every point you are making and he would still disagree with you.

That is exactly the problem with folks like msims, they still think Jackie is successful like she was back in 2011. They truly live in an alternate world, but certainly not the real one.

You asked me a question and I responded. Acknowledging facts/what happened in 2011 is living in reality.

As far as being a musician, she plays no instruments, can't read music, never went to music school to hone her skills, can't write songs, makes no real effort to further her career through promoting herself, and is really no better of a singer than several other child classical wannabes that are in the mix.

Artists have teams to promote them and that promotion will kick in when she has the new album out/has something to promote. Its immaterial whether shes "better" or not than the others. Theres been an anti-CC bias thats been there for years even prior to her singing a note. Writing songs is not critical to her career and I just don't see why she would need to go to school for music (unless shes going into opera which I doubt). She can go for anything she wants and she has the money to do whatever she wants and that would include not promoting herself/taking time off.

There is no indication Jackie has the money you are talking about. They sold the house and there is no indication that Jackie or her family moved into anything equivalent. Lisa said Jackie did well she has the money to go to college and maybe enough for her siblings and that was when Jackie was doing much better. Now it turns out neither Jackie or her siblings went to college. Lisa even said they had to put a lean on their house to pay for Juliet's operation and at one time they were even asking how they could come up with the money for Jackie to make music videos. I don't see Jackie doing anything that indicates she has the money you talk about. Surely the Evancho's if they had the money they could have right out bought the building for Lisa's Transgender community it was something like 200k. instead of asking for donations. If they had the money you speak of they would have bought a large house by now.

They have to have a lot of thing from their last house that would not fit in an apartment.

Actually, it does prove you wrong.  Only you could quote yourself saying something that was wrong and claim that you saying something that was wrong does not prove you are wrong.  To quote you, "only instrumentalists won that Grammy" but the fact is what you stated was incorrect.  The Grammy for Best Classical Crossover Album in 2007 went to Bryn Terfel, the London Voices and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2009, it went to the King's Singers.  In case you have not noticed, Bryn Terfel is an opera singer and both the London Voices and the King's Singers are vocal ensembles.  They won the award. They are not instrumentalists.  You said only instrumentalists won.  Ergo, you are wrong.  Whether you think they deserved it or you think they were not "really" classical crossover (an absurd claim in such an amorphous genre) is irrelevant to whether you are wrong.  Why you cannot get that making a claim that is objectively incorrect makes you wrong is your problem - not mine.

Do you ever bother to check anything before you vomit things into your comments?  See that little symbol that looks like either the sun or a gear in a box on every post.  If you click on that symbol on any post, it will say "Select Post", "Link to Post", etc.  However, if you are a registered user and it is YOUR POST, it will add the option "Delete Post".  Guess what that does?  So I guess you're wrong again.  Well, you never get anything right, but at least you're consistent.

You don't seem to get it.  People go to concerts to see their favorite artists and listen to their music.  If you are an artist and you are not streaming in decent numbers in 2012, that means people are not listening to you any more and the audience is dwindling.  It has nothing to do with genre, as other prominent classical and CC artists are streaming just fine these days - even those who are legacy acts (e.g., Pavarotti).  I'm not saying she needs to stream at the same rate as a pop star, but there should be consistent numbers relative to her genre.  This indicates people are still listening in decent numbers and will consistently pay to see her in concert.

The other point you are missing is that the days of her being a big star with top selling albums is long since over.  This is not surprising as artists in niche genres can often catch the public imagination for a period and then fade away after a few years.  Then what matters is to be relevant in your specific genre.

When Juliet had her Trans. surgery, Lisa said they had to borrow against THEIR house, so the house was Lisa and Mike's, not Jackie's.
Raising a family and paying a mortgage, taxes, home owners and health insurance and all other expenses, Jackie must have been paying him very well indeed.

Notice that picture was taken by Christina Turino. Remember Sims telling me a long time ago that the Evancho's and Turino's have split up and I kept giving proof that they are still together. I am wondering if Jackie is with relatives in Pittsburgh or that Mike and Jackie are with Christina. Turino's NY apartment is in the Eugene building which is 1 mile from The Mercedes House where Jackie either is or was staying at, but I haven't seen any indication that Jackie is still at the Mercedes House.

Jackie does not look overly thin in that picture either. 

I am also surprised that Jackie never went back to work at 54/Below in NYC.

Beautiful photo!  I think she's still on the skinny side but looking better.

I'm not surprised...really just began touring again last month.  I did wonder if she might make an appearance at one of those two venues this summer sometime.
