Olivia Rodrigo took over the Grand Ole Opry. I though it was just for country music. You were lucky if you could get a ticket because it only has 4000 seats.
Jackie came out with a new song where is she promoting it. I guess she thinks people should be thrilled about it when she doesn't show any enthusiasm about it.

Probably figures why bother, there’s only a certain number of people who would be interested anyway to listen to a rehash of Joni Mitchell songs. 🥱

Why would anyone want to listen to Jackie when they can listen to Joni herself?

Olivia Rodrigo can perform at the Grand Ole Opry because she created her own original songs and everyone wants to hear her sing them.

That Olivia Rodrigo vid is from the Ryman Auditorium, which is a great venue for all sorts of music, not just country. The article calls it the Opry House but I thought the Grand Ole Opry had officially moved into a new location several years ago.

Ryman Auditorium (also known as Grand Ole Opry House and Union Gospel Tabernacle) is a 2,362-seat live-performance venue located at 116 5th Avenue North, in Nashville, Tennessee. It is best known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974. It is owned and operated by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. Ryman Auditorium was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and was later designated as a National Historic Landmark on June 25, 2001, for its pivotal role in the popularization of country music.[1][2] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryman_AuditoriumYeee Haww!

Mabye she's come to realize that's not going to happen and decided to mix her pop music desires with music from an era that might interest her older fan base.

How many hours/day did you spend years ago when you were commenting under every single article about Jackie and bashing everyone who didn't think that she was a gift from God and the best singer who ever lived. This is Crazy Yaz behind an alias and this lie was debunked years ago. They got it. You were turned off to Jackie because I blocked you on fb and recommended that you be removed as a mod from a fan group, you have been carrying a grudge ever since. You are a massive control freak, who has attempted to control the narrative about her career for a decade. Too bad she didn't think about that before she made the album. She wants so badly to do pop and gain a younger audience and than does an entire Joni Mitchell album. What was she thinking? That question was already answered, Yaz. jackieevanchofans.proboards.com/post/42838I suspect Jackie picked Joni in part to help find new fans. Pretty basic but true. Many of our CC fans are dying. I went through my friends list on Facebook last week and there was 100+ dead fans I considered my friends at one point. Joni is being honored left and right at the moment. And Joni’s fan groups on Facebook and elsewhere are extremely active. Super active. Siphon some fans from there and voila. CD sales. — At least that’s how musicians generally consider it, in part. When Jackie started work on the album, I doubt she would be aware that Joni would be honored at the Grammy's (MusiCares Gala). So if she was going to cover any artist, she definitely picked the right legend and right time.

Mabye she's come to realize that's not going to happen and decided to mix her pop music desires with music from an era that might interest her older fan base. But I can't see where she really tried after The Masked Singer. I see others really push a new song and promote as much as they can even if it is only on social media and some seem to be doing very well at it.
Dylan Conrique who is a friend of both Kenzie-Z and Sophia Rose Turino just kept writing new songs and promoting them herself and now this last song she wrote has over 5 million youtube hits 147k likes in just a little over 3 months. Jackie would have gave up after the first song that didn't do good, Birthday cake now has 47 million streams on Spotify and Dylan has 4.7 million monthly spotify listeners. Yes you can find some doing much better but she didn't have anything like AGT or anything really to give her a push. Jackie has had a tremendous amount of help if she wanted to get into POP seriously.
Did Jackie forget that she has a youtube channel. Her last youtube was about a year and a half ago.
Is she just sitting around thinking someone will come along and pull her wagon for her, David Foster forgot her a long time ago.

I haven't seen anything from Jackie that tells me she is pop star material. Not even a glimmer. She's a former cc child star who is all grown up now and largely unknown today, save for her lingering AGT fan base. Not a knock on dear Jackie...it just is what it is. I just hope her mental health continues to improve behind the scenes. I do think she should start doing FB or Instagram lives again soon...connect more personally/directly with her fans.

Re: Jackie and Trump I think Jackie pretty well burned that bridge. Instead of being grateful about singing at his Inauguration, Jackie started apologizing for it. She should have kept her mouth shut she sure didn't owe anyone an apology. Jackie was OK with singing for Trump until he took action against transgenders. She realized she could no longer stay neutral on the issue and was forced to pick one side or the other. She chose to support Juliet and apologized for singing for Trump.

I believe Jackie could very well make it in POP, You could say the same thing about Olivia Rodrigo two years ago just a Disney actor. You could say the same about Tate McRae two years ago, her parents didn't even want her to put that silly song she wrote on her channel. Jackie needs to get a writer or she isn't going to go far. Someone writing a crappy song will do better than doing covers. Jackie needs good material she has to have good stage presence and be available to any new fans. This showed me that Jackie does have what it takes if she would just use it. Imagine if Jackie wrote "Unstoppable" or had it written for her. Jackie is to young to be doing slow park and bark songs for an audience 3 times her age, and she picked the wrong label to go with. At the very least Jackie needs some livelier material to sing.
