Jackie's website has just had a complete makeover, and it advertises "new music coming soon". She told fans that the new album will come out in June. Expect a bunch of new tour dates to show up on her website in the next couple of months. She did an extended audio interview recently, as well as finishing up four make up concerts in a month. She's back to posting regularly on Instagram. All this while dealing with her mental health issues. She's back to scheduling her annual July concert in Ocean City. For whatever it's worth, she's close to back to where she was pre-covid.She is back to where she was pre-covid if, and only if, those new concert dates are actually scheduled. Until then, it is only hope, not reality. For now, it is too early to say. |

Also, Emily is only slightly related to Jackie because Emily is mainly a composer/pianist (not a singer) and her genre is musical theater (not CC or pop). It is fine to post about Emily on this thread as long as the posts are relatively short, not too frequent, and contain very few pictures. She continues to sell enough tickets for venues to book her...she does still have a fan base you know. |

The only reason why things may change is if her popularity declines and fewer venues book her services. Over the years, her popularity has declined (as shown by Google Trends and declining ticket prices). However, this is a very gradual process so I don't anticipate any major change at this time. But I do think it will happen eventually but it will take a while. |

why all the big totally boring Ziegler model posts??? There are Ziegler posts for the same reason that there are Emily Bear posts on this thread. Like Emily, the Zieglers are also in showbiz. And like Emily, the Zieglers are only slightly related to Jackie. So, like Emily, we ask that posts about the Zieglers on this thread should be relatively short, relatively infrequent, and have few pictures. Like Emily, a dedicated thread can be created for the Zieglers if necessary. |

But I do think it will happen eventually but it will take a while. It's definitely been a gradual decline over the years, largely as some of her older fan base "dies off" as Lisa once put it. But she had a decent number of seats filled for the April shows, which were rescheduled more than once and people plenty of people didn't seek refunds. I suspect she can do the smaller concert events successfully for some years to come if she wants to. But unless she figures out a way to get new fans, the longer term career prognosis is not good. |
