Kamila Valieva is already accustomed to surprise fans of figure skating with demonstration numbers, and this time she did not change herself - an incendiary performance accompanied by compositions from the popular TV series "Wednesday". I won't see Wednesday for awhile, so I turned to a reaction channel on YouTube to get a feel for the show. Reaction channels usually have one or more people watching or listening to something, and commenting in real time. The best ones for me offer honest, astute and sometimes funny insights. They don't show the whole episode, and often talk over dialog, but if well-edited, they can be enlightening.
Warning: Spoiler Alert. If you haven't seen the show, this reaction reveals plot points in various scenes throughout the first episode of Wednesday. I don't mind spoilers to a point, so I decided to at least watch a reaction for the first episode. Even after now knowing how the first episode plays out, my curiosity is peaked. I might have to break down and get Netflix.

The Company You KeepReplying here to a comment made in the Jackie Fan Only thread about Jackie's performance. i only now saw Jackie in her movie gig The Company You keep ..she was not good ....she was very good , where are her other gigs in movies ? again it is she had no good agent or team for career . I saw The Company You Keep again recently and I thought she did well. The only problem I had the first time was in the breakfast scene with her dad (Robert Redford). He was all serious and business-like, and she is cheerful and playfully sarcastic. The first time I saw the movie I thought she was over-acting a little. This time, however, I took in the whole story better and thought it was a well-directed film, so Redford must have been happy with the way she played that part. It's possible that they cut out some footage that would have developed this father-daughter relationship a little more. What we are supposed to get about the breakfast scene is that she is a well-adjusted and cared for daughter to a single father. Lacking any character development leading up to this, I realized this time that Jackie's performance conveyed that intent. You could say she carried that segment. A later scene (with the stuffed baby seal) showed the playful back-and-forth between them, which is why I felt like there should have been something like that early on. It was a bit of back-fill on their relationship, but it all worked out. She did all of her scenes well, and was especially convincing later on. I liked the film, and was more wrapped up this time in the suspenseful chain of events. The biggest flaw in the movie was there were too many big stars with too little screen time. Julie Christie's role as Mimi should have had way more development so that we better understand the decision she makes later on. It was cool to see her with Sam Elliot, but his part in the film could have easily been cut. There are a lot of characters needed to piece together a complicated story, but it could have been trimmed more than it probably was already. Shia LaBeouf's role as a journalist snooping into Redford's past connected all these assorted characters together. It was also nice to see Anna Kendrick and Brit Marling again because I didn't know who these actors were the first time around. They both did well, as did everyone else, but their roles could have been cut as well to make more time for character development elsewhere. But hey, the film was made the way it was made, and I enjoyed it. 7.5 out of 10

I'm Totally Fine
I wouldn't normally waste my time, but I loved this movie in spite of hating how it was directed and presented (see trailer). In the end it's a beautifully shot love story about friendship and grief, that is ruined by trying to pass it off as a comical farce. If I was filthy rich, I would buy the rights to this film, bury it, fire the director, re-shoot it as a serious film, and recast the lead. Jillian Bell is a good actor, but completely wrong for this role. Natalie Morales is a good actor, but I would have her play a more subtle version of the alien inhabitant of the deceased friend.
I wanted to cry at the end of this film, but couldn't. I was moved, yet pissed off. It needs to be trashed and redone. Everything else about this film was lovely, especially the cinematography. But casting Jillian Bell was a huge mistake, and going for comedy was ill-conceived. Excellent concept, poorly executed. Ultimately moving in spite of its flaws.

I don't recall Richard ever saying that he liked it, or even that he watched it, simply that it was highly popular, which it most definitely was.

The one movie that I'm looking forward to is "Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny" which will be Harrison Ford's last movie as "Indiana Jones":
