Wednesday looks like it will be cute as hell. Jenna Ortega and the rest of the cast spent 7 months in Romania making the series. another little snippet Wednesday vs the thing.
In a couple of days Nov.4 on Netflex Enola Homes 2 will be on. Staring Millie Bobby Brown as Enola and Henry Cavill (plays Superman in all the Marvel moves) as Sherlock Homes

Wednesday looks like it will be cute as hell. Jenna Ortega and the rest of the cast spent 7 months in The very dry and macabre humor in someone mostly content to be alienated is fun, but it's previously worked best as a small part of the entire Addams Family ensemble. I wonder how well it will hold up over time as the focus.

This is different from the other Addams Family in that Wednesday ( Jenna Ortega ) will be playing a teenager just coming into her physic powers. Jenna Ortega's last movie she made with Maddie Ziegler did real good. Jenna already has a large following of 9 million instagram followers. Jenna Ortega started acting at the age of 9 when she was the star of Disney's TV series "Stuck in the Middle".

No amount of actor popularity can prolong by much something dependent on both writing and a fairly narrow character gimmick; although the casting choice for Wednesday seems, quite apart from popularity, well suited to the role. The trick will be for Wednesday to remain Wednesday while growing just enough to remain interesting and not TOO predictable.

One more thing: if Wednesday ends up having some persistent female rival (not counting her mom Morticia, that's Freudian-ly permissible), that would probably not be good. I remember the original "V" TV series (after two miniseries, back in the 80's). It started out ok, but in addition to a budget insufficient for the genre, it degenerated into an ongoing catfight between the aliens devious and treacherous (but always failing) Diana and more rule-following but smarter Lydia. IMO that's what finished it off. One review said "What was once a pretty decent science fiction saga with good drama, humor and suspense ends up becoming "Dynasty" with lizard makeup and laser guns."

Movie: Another Earth This one took a minute to get into because I had no idea what it was about. Not to spoil it (because I’m not really), don’t expect inter-planetary war, spaceships and laser beams, or even much sci-fi at all. I sat through most of it expecting something terrible to happen, but when I realized that it was just a really good film in a sci-fi wrapper, I started it over and really enjoyed it. (More below trailer) The lead actress is Brit Marling, but throughout the film I was trying to recall where I’d seen her. I looked her up and the only other thing she’s done that I’ve seen is The Company You Keep. But even then I couldn’t place her and didn’t remember her scenes even when I looked them up. Then I found this photo and said ah ok, that chick. She's a good actor.

I loved the Wednesday series and I am not alone. www.yahoo.com/now/why-wednesday-could-netflix-next-163000614.htmlseems everyone loved Jenna's dance scene that Netflix said she choreographed herself. Jenna Ortega took some Cello lessons for the movie but I don't think she is actually playing the music but it seems to be one of the favorite scenes from people who watched the series. Some say Wednesday is playing "Paint it Black".

Definitely not her cello playing, but I appreciate that they made the effort. There are way too many scenes out there showing people randomly wiggling their fingers pretending to type or play an instrument. This one got enough things right to make it work.
