It wasnt up to her as the world was shut down due to a pandemic. TMS concluded in May, 2020, and COT was released in September. So excluding those two months, my rough count of albums released during the intervening months of June, July and August, 2020: 319 Three-hundred nineteen albums released in three months while "the world was shut down." Simzy also moved the goal post with another new excuse that Jackie doesn't have a home studio. She has a computer, a microphone and some software. Doesn't sound from this like she has much singing talent. Very gimmicky...voice mostly masked by reverb, instrumentals and chorus. Still living off her popularity from the reality show I see. lol Jackie's not cool and doesn't have a large following from reality show days...but she is infinitely more talented vocally than this girl. But one thing I'll give you, "Kenzie" can obviously dance far better, and is far more outgoing and likable/relatable with the young masses than Jackie is. Kenzie is no singer...she's a dancer and a former reality show personality. |

Okay, Jackie, I've read all the doctor's notes, you're excused from your homework assignment.
All these reasons that people are pulling out of their arses may be good reasons, or not. They don't change the reality that going off-radar for any length of time – especially immediately after a public appearance – will result in disappointment for anyone searching. It's a missed opportunity that fifteen minutes of work, once a week, could have avoided. Yes there are 'reasons' for her silence, but none of them undo the damage done to her popularity by her long silence and mixed messages. No one went away mad, they just went on to something else.
Now I'd say Jackie is doing a good job at staying active on social media. She could easily see this as burdensome, or she could embrace it. If you want to be someone new, or a better you, it's going to take a new attitude, along with commitment. Constantly making excuses for missed opportunities, instead of learning from them, is just history repeating itself. Life is uphill, there's no way around that.

Since she left she now has 14.8 million instagram followers, 3.76 million youtube subscribers and 25.3 million TikTok followers. A lot more people think she is more talented than Jackie. She has far more streams than Jackie, her video get far more views. Plus Kenzie doesn't have to live with her dad and buy her own house.
Right now Kenzie and Maddie have their brand in all American Eagle Stores. American Eagle invested a lot to make and put their line in all 1000 store with their displays plus their on line business.
When ever Jackie goes head to head with Kenzie. Jackie falls way short.
Like this disaster.

And that they like her singing a lot more than they like Jackie's singing. And she is 5 years younger.

You suggest that Kenzie is living off her popularity from her reality show. To the contrary, I can't imagine she was this popular during her reality show. I suspect she has grown her fan base considerably since her show. Unlike Jackie, her career is going up, not down. |

Like you said, she is being very aggressive right now with her social media. Getting her original songs produced and released have always been a dream of hers, and she's getting to live that dream. Yes its more work, and so far she seems to be embracing that work in order to achieve that dream. It's also therapeutic for her as the songs are about her mental health challenges. That all being said, we all know that Jackie's career has been on the steady decline for many years now. Whether or not covid had occurred wouldnt have changed that. But it did seem to accelerate the decline and even Jackie acknowledged that, stating that she returned when she did as she saw everything she had worked for melting away. The chances of these new songs achieving a reversal of her career decline aren't good, but at least there is a chance. If it doesnt work out, Jackie still benefits. She gets to see her original lyrics put to music, get produced, and get released to her fans. And she gets the therapeutic value from it, being open about her mental struggles. Even if these songs flop commerically, it's still a big win for Jackie personally. |

And those songs were somewhat buried in an album with non-originals. This will next one be an album of all originals, and will tackle mental health issues she didnt deal with in 2 Hearts. Jackie's numbers have always been terrible on both.  Jackie was able to chart with all her previous albums because her fans purchased. Problem is most of those moppets that you always put down are selling a lot more albums than JE is these days! Wake up! |

You repeatedly lied and mislead about the "numbers" only giving the spotify numbers, when you know that spotify isn't the only way to listen to BME. Most of Jackie's older fans do not stream, they purchase and I said that repeatedly. It also doesn't matter really how many streams it has at this point because once the album is released, fans will purchase the album. As of 2022, 84% of the music industry's revenues were derived from streaming. And the number keeps rising. Sales are insignificant and will be even more so in the future. That's why Melody Place (MP) congratulated Jackie on getting 2M streams for COT (even though that is a very low number).That's why MP spent money to hold private sessions with playlist managers in LA and NYC to publicize BME and Jackie's other originals. That's why MP is spending money for Jackie to perform her originals at the big junket in Napa Valley for playlist managers and other digital platform executives. MP knows streaming is the key to future of the music industry. Only old fossils buy music instead of streaming it. The new pop fans that Jackie so desperately needs will stream her songs. The old fossils are irrelevant to Jackie's future in alt pop. If Jackie can't appeal to new young fans, her pop career will crash and burn. That's why I have no interest in anything other than streaming. Because everything else is irrelevant. |
