Not taking sides here, just pointing out reality. Of course, the US Constitution prohibits the shouting of "reality" in a crowded Jackie forum. I think that most of us do hope that you are right, but aren't optimistic that you are right.

No Donkey you aren’t being fair, he said her career would be over, I didn’t so I win ! I predict Jackie will prove you both wrong! I don’t think she will be a superstar but her career going forward will be very rewarding for her and her fans ! SoCal Fan is a critic so he is posting from that point of view , I being a fan is speaking from that perspective! We will see who is right! If you are a Jackie fan you should hope I am right Donkey 🫏 ! Her career, compared to what it once was, is effectively over. Sure, she does some Xmas shows and Ocean City...and can make some money doing that. But unless we see much better streaming numbers or more concerts, three concerts a year is a career that is pretty much done...not even a mere shadow of what it once was. We'll see what happens to her concert schedule after Xmas I guess. If she does any more concerts within a day's drive of me like Nashville was, I will definitely go to another one. Houston is technically a day's drive, but a long one and I really don't have any interest in driving down to Houston. Been there, done that. lol

If charisma is a born attribute (you have it or don't, but can't learn it), then you have it all the time...or don't, and it would take effort to turn it off when provoked. There are people that are charming when they're publicly visible, but quite different other times. Take Ellen DeGeneres as an example of people who reportedly don't have it all the time. In the extreme, that can be symptomatic of a sociopath/psychopath. So charm that is is only present as needed (without having to go in the opposite direction the rest of the time, which might be a pathology) is quite possible, and not a born attribute. (some of us think that mild _is_ charming rather than bland, but it may not be very marketable) www.amazon.com/Charisma-Myth-Science-Personal-Magnetism/dp/1591845947/

If we are just talking about putting on an act on stage or in interview, i.e. putting on a persona...Jackie's doesn't have the acting skills to pull that off. And her current fans would see her a fraud, knowing already who the real Jackie is. And besides all of that, I don't see Jackie having any desire to be anything but herself.

Are you attending her Dec concert in New Wilmington PA? I actually live near Kansas City. I considered it, but when tickets went on sale to the general public, there were no good seats left that I felt were worth driving 12 hrs for. If there had been good seats available, I would have bought them as I would really like to experience a Jackie Xmas show up close. I got spoiled with the Nashvilles seats I got...can't get any closer than those seats. lol Nashville was a 9 hr drive and on the way to visit my mom in Asheville, so that worked out really well.

If you read the description, you're not trying to put on a fake personality, you're trying to build on those elements of your personality that would increase your effectiveness. It needn't be super obvious, either. If one considers increased social media engagement to be something similar, it's already happening.

It's a real shame you don't live closer to her Millville NJ concert. For some reason, the 1st row in the pit has 2 open seats in the middle, the best seats in the house. And the entire 2nd row in the pit is empty. But New Wilmington is selling well whereas Millville is selling poorly. It's probably because New Wilmington is a hometown concert (50 miles from Pittsburgh) whereas Millville is far away.

If one considers increased social media engagement to be something similar, it's already happening. Jackie is very clearly stepping up her social media and I strongly commend her for it. It may or may not be effective but it is imperative that she make the effort.

BOGC - If I recall correctly, you live not far from Millville NJ. Are you attending? Not that close, but yes. Also have a ticket for the one in PA. That's more than a couple hours farther each way.

Wow! Jackie will do 3 concerts in 2023 and you will attend them all! Presumably, the 2 holiday concerts in Dec will be identical. Do you have any concerns about watching the same show twice?
