She wasn't sent from heaven and isn't going to be someone who cures cancer, she has a good voice. Let her down from that pedestal already. Cures diseases, no, of course not. But an unusually effective distraction from the constant physical and/or PTSD pain some were in has been multiply and plausibly reported. Not being in such dire straits myself, I can't personally confirm the degree of it. But listening to her certainly makes both physical and other discomforts ignorable for a time. Not saying there aren't others who can do that to some degree, but none I know of that can do it to that degree. These people wouldn't happen to have been smoking something at the same time, would they?

Jackie Evancho had a nice voice for a 10 year old…but far from being a prodigy…and as she never really invested into her voice…it‘s over …she never had a chance. WRONG. She sought out training or at least coaching beyond the immediate project more than once, not only vocal, but including stagecraft. On one occasion, hostile gossip involving a self-righteous music critic probably contributed to removing an opportunity in that regard. Just for TMS she must have worked very hard. Different styles, choreography, etc with the added mixed advantage/disadvantage* of the costume; even with some very good coaching, it's a lot to digest with just a few days more than the time she had to be there for recording. And all that in already stressful family and other circumstances. She also has quite the instinct for improvising, even if she uses it lightly. That either takes a lot of learning and experience, or it's something you're born with, or with neither (me, mostly), it's very rare that one feels what's possible, and not something one can do at will. * obviously anonymity was an advantage to let her let loose a little, but the headpiece was doubtless cumbersome and interfered with vision. Oh yes, poor Jackie. And of course none of the other contestants on that show, in any season, had to go through such hardships, many who had no experience singing on stage at all.

All of the Lisa stuff aside, to say, or even imply that as a child Jackie wasn't massively talented is of course nonsense. She made it to the finals of AGT and was strongly favored to win that. She sang with brilliant vocal talent all over the world. She worked with the likes of David Foster, a person known to recognize great talent and help nurture it. We've all discussed the reasons her career faded over time...limiting genre, unable to translate child career success into adult success, the challenges of successfully changing genres, lack of a strong stage persona as an adult and lacking good original song writing material, etc. But where you always trip up and get it wrong, is when you say Jackie had little to no talent - she just got lucky. Everyone who makes it big gets that lucky break...so bring it up in Jackie's case is irrelevent and just makes you look like you have an agenda. She was clearly massively talented (and still is). Lose that part of your argument and you will come across as much more credible as much of what you say is in fact true. By the way, many very talented people never get that "Lucky break" and never make it big...so not making it big isn't a reflection of their talent level. I have previously said she had a talent AS A KID for singing opera songs, but no more so than other young talent show kid opera singers like This maybe why Caitlyn Caz, because Jackie Evancho became successful. Why aren't you complaining about those moppets careers on their forums? www.sony.com/content/sony/en/en_us/SCA/company-news/press-releases/sony-music-entertainment/2010/soprano-prodigy-jackie-evancho-becomes-2010s-topselling-debut-artist-as-o-holy-night-her-first-major-label-release-enters-the-billboard-200-at-2.htmlSoprano Prodigy Jackie Evancho Becomes 2010's Top-Selling Debut Artist as O Holy Night, Her First Major Label Release, Enters the Billboard 200 at #2 Sony Music Entertainment - 11/24/2010 NEW YORK, Nov. 24, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- O Holy Night, a special seasonal CD/DVD and first major label release from soprano prodigy Jackie Evancho, has entered the Billboard 200 at #2. With first week's sales topping 239,000 pieces, O Holy Night has secured Jackie's position as 2010's top-selling debut artist as well as the youngest female solo artist to ever debut in the Soundscan era. Additionally, Jackie has entered the Billboard Classical Chart at #1. Jackie's stunning performance on "America's Got Talent" last summer won over the hearts of millions of viewers bringing her from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania into the national spotlight. "Jackie Evancho is one of the purest and finest vocalists I've ever heard, and the initial response to her debut release has been phenomenal," said Steve Barnett, Chairman, Columbia Records. "We are all incredibly proud of Jackie," said Mike and Lisa Evancho, Jackie's parents. "She loves to sing and is incredibly happy to be able to share her gift with the world." On O Holy Night, her debut recording for SYCO/Columbia, Jackie has matched a couple of her favorite Christmas carols -- "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night" -- with "Pie Jesu" and "Panis Angelicus" -- two of the arias she performed on "America's Got Talent" -- on the set's extended play CD. The two-disc O Holy Night includes a bonus DVD featuring Jackie's "America's Got Talent" performances, the audition tape that got her on the show, and an exclusive interview with Jackie filmed the week following the show's finale.

Cait's having another bad day. It is very demanding for all contestants on that show. The fact that shes been named on reddit frequently as one of the best contestants throughout all seasons may be part of the reason that TMS is minimized here as having no impact. When it in fact moved the needle more than her AGT guest appearance the year prior.

The fact that shes been named on reddit frequently as one of the best contestants throughout all seasons If that is a fact, it's only because YOU got on reddit frequently and name her that. Otherwise, she has long been forgotten on that show. And the only reason she got as far as she did is because many people thought she was Emma Watson or Kate Bosworth who are very popular and well liked. Once they found out who it really was, no one was interested anymore.

No and that discussion with you and donkey was entirely off topic and should have been moved to the Off topic section. Forums are not there because you desire attention. Also that forum was shut down over arguments about the LGBT push made by Lisa, Lisa got fed up and she prior modded a friend of hers who shouldn't have been modded. When Mike was running it along with a family friend of his, it was better. Also, I forgot that the old forum topic brings up bad memories for you, Sims. Your sick mushy gushy posts started back in the old forums leading Lisa to get so sick of you she had to boot you. You were the one desperately seeking attention from Team E ad nauseum. It was celebration day for the remaining fans when you finally got kicked out. Cool story but you left out the kicker: Lisa then kicked Rick out, and then you, everyone else. She deleted the forum all together because you were an unruly bunch. Rick then took the opportunity to create and sabotage another forum with his endless cat tales. And no I don't have bad memories or do I care to look back on others being out of control, thats not something I can control. When there is no moderation, you have to self moderate your own comments. You don't need a moderator to tell you to do that, its common sense.

There are people who post on reddit who are young and are fans of the show and list her as a favorite over the years, shes not forgotten and her followers numbers did rise.
