Mike is very concerned with Greg Camp's Influence over Jackie. Look for big changes that Jackie is going to make and Mike is not happy with them. At last, is Jackie ditching Mike and shacking up with Greg? Isnt Greg married with children? Jackie, how could you? lol |

You will never except that the majority of AGT viewers didn't vote for Jackie. If you truly believe that You probably still believe in the tooth fairy. Some kind of a deal was cut. It may have had nothing to do with her only getting 2nd, but who knows. Jackie was more mind-blowing, but Grimm's story was a sympathy-grabber. She didn't have to do all 25 stops of the AGT tour (but they couldn't have held a minor to that anyway); she just did 10. But she got a record deal from SYCO, and of course Simon Cowell was the power behind all the _GT shows. I wish I would have saved the comments but Lisa answered this a long time ago, and at the time I thought some type of deal was struck and everyone was talking about it. But Lisa said they didn't know who the winner was until it was announced like everyone else. She also said the reason that Jackie didn't do all the tours was because because of her age it needed a judge to sign for her to do it. Lisa may have been a lot of things but she was truthful, sometimes even more that she should have been and just not said anything. Even about David Foster and others. |

Grimm won because he was a carbon copy of several of the winners before him. Like Kevin Skinner the season before Jackie's.
evidently that is the type that really appealed to AGT audiences at the time.

Grimm was cool, sang cool music, and had a great sob story. Jackie had the older vote, but wasn't cool, wasn't singing a "cool" genre, and didn't have a sob story. Jackie was strongly favored to win. Grimm certainly thought she would win...the expression on his face when it was announced he won makes that clear. His face said, "WTF..NO WAY!" - see at 5:16 in video. LOL
Grimm was good, but I thought he sounded too much like other voices I have heard sing those types of songs. He was very talented, however, from a raw, natural talent standpoint, I thought Jackie should have won. He had been singing for years and years. Jackie was ten, had little training, and her raw talent was mind blowing.
There is no way AGT cheated, or lied about who got the most votes...if they did that and it ever got out, the show would be over and its name brand would be tarnished forever. Now, I do believe that some voters might have have thought Jackie should win, but voted for Grimm due to his sob story and also due to Jackie being only ten. They might have thought she has her whole life ahead of her and a Vegas show wouldn't be right for her. Although, I think that would be a small number of people...most will just vote for who they want to win. But if they were torn, I could see the logic in voting for Grimm.

AGT mislead the public about what the winner would get as the prize 🏆, saying that the winner would MC the show in Vegas!

Even if she had won, by now it should be a distant memory. She was 10 then in 3 more months she will be 24. Sure she has a couple of OTT fans stuck in 2010 but the vast majority of the population has moved on.

hey people ! this is 2024 , you think we could talk about Entertainment of the days of today , move forward , look ahead , live in today , the passed is the passed , it is what is was , myself knows very little of today Entertainment as i see mostly streaming sites an you tube , the history of singers is stale news , are any winners of the today talent shows a stand out good ? . Talent shows are as boring as their history. The last good thing I saw on a talent show was the big Hawaiian dude with a ukulele. After he won American Idol I thought I'd be out there following him, but like Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, I just listened to a song or two and never bought an album. Before that I liked Alejandro Aranda (a.k.a. Scary Pool Party) and I was absolutely certain that I would immediately scoop up his albums. Didn't happen. Don't know where he is or what he's doing. Alejandro did all originals like Grace, but Grace stuck and Alejandro didn't. For me talent shows are not the most productive places for discovering music. |
