This is why I had suggested going out as an opening act for another alt-pop/AC act. That would be a great idea if she could do it. But I would be very surprised if it happened since established artists would be looking for an opening act with a larger following than Jackie (of which there are many).

I just did a seat count for her upcoming concert on the 20th. She’s sold 568 tickets so far, I’d say that’s quite good.

she did also explain in that interview that writing is better for her, so it makes sense why she didn't tour more, makes total sense. Made total sense then, but doesn't explain why she is not touring with COT now. The only thing that makes sense now is that nobody wants to buy tickets for COT concerts. She wasnt touring because it wasnt profitable. That's why she decided to try writing more.

For gross profit, you only need to know what the venue takes. The rest is the difference between gross and net. I suspect if one keeps 10-15% of box office, that's not unusual. Not going to get wildly rich unless packing stadiums with tickets that are at least a few hundred dollars. And then the expenses will be higher, since expectations will be higher, and even being noticed at those distances is nontrivial.

I counted about 222 seats still available with some really good seats up front. I dont see any "really good seats" left up front. I see some a couple rows back, but waaaaay to the side. Those arent very good seats, which is why they are still available. lol

... One thing that might also help make her oldies fresher is change up her song list. Sing some fan favs that she hasn't performed in a concert in many years. How about some Ave Maria, Lord's Prayer, Nella Fantasia, and Your Love, for example. Man, you really want to attach a ball & chain to that chick's ankle. Those were all good in their day, but they absolutely do NOT belong in the same playlist as her new songs. There are a ton of more contemporary songs that she has already done that would land with any audience. Better yet she could easily work up several covers of stuff that is popular right now. She cut her teeth on covers, and there are plenty to choose from other than church songs.

Depends on what songs you are referring to. Remember, her current concert going base, whats left of it, would have to like the material, a lot more than they like the original songs she has come out with so far I might add. Otherwise fewer would attend than attend now. Mabye Jackie could do all classic oldies for old person events like OC, and then do all original and contemporary for other concerts. But thats a huge risk for those events. She would have to accept some very empty audiences for a while at least. Its sort of a catch 22 for her. Ditch the stuff she sings best and her fan base likes, or dump it and just sing material that really has no fan base and likely wont draw many from her current CC fan base. That being said, I would go to a Jackie concert with just her original music and some popular contemporary music thrown in. Not sure how much I'd like it, but I'd give it a go for sure. I still think she sings smokey, jazzy, bluesy type music really well, and I'd love to see her do some of that.
