I expect Lisa and Mike would have communicated with their own children with the same degree of intelligence, care and understanding they applied to Jackie's fans and other supporters: shallow thinking and short shrift answers. I think that's their style. And unto them a child is born. Poor kids. That's why I think that "Get Out of My Life" and the album title "Solla" are directed towards Lisa, who is the "someone" that she mentioned. |

Am I mistaken in recalling that the forum was an official Sony/Columbia website? The reason I'm recalling it this way is that, after waiting ages for my sign-up gifts, I became frustrated enough to bypass M&L, and contacted the label directly. I got my stuff quickly in the mail. It was a tote bag, a key fob, and other stuff that I don't recall. I felt like I was the last one to get the gift package because the forum was killed shortly after. I thought the forum was like any other forum I'd been to, except for OTTs – that was a new one I'd never experienced. You could be scolded online or (mostly) in your DMs for the most benign comments. I fought back on occasion but mostly just took note of who the a-hole was for future reference, and ignored their intrusions. The worst kind of fans (as I thought then, and still) were the ones who acted like they were Jackie OGs. Founding fathers. Among the worst of these were a cabal of Houston concert veterans who I found rude and arrogant. There were also the white knights, the moral guardians of the little angel - a few of which are still around. Generally though, the OG OTTs who are still alive are still out there (and here) trying to control discussions, guard the gates of fandom, disparage anyone with an unwanted opinion, exaggerating Jackie's relevance and popularity, etc. Speaking glowingly of Jackie is great, but trying to assert some kind of seniority-authority is another thing. I have no patience for these peckerwads. The cabal became the penguin waddlers. Personally, I didn't mind that group much, but what got old is the incessant OTT posts from a few members. One member there had thousands of more posts than everyone else and the posts were filled with ooey, gooey sickening nonsense, all geared to gain favor with Lisa. |

Karolina Protsenko is very lucky to have such humble and deeply caring parents to raise her and encourage her. In this video, her father prompts her to be open about her feelings and is accepting of all her comments. At only 15, she has been gaining maturity rapidly.

His entire self-esteem was based on Lisa having followed him on Twitter. There was another dude almost as bad in the second forum, who I referenced above. He kept saying things about how Jackie was going to perform at the next Super Bowl and how Jackie was going to get all sorts of Grammys, etc. Ugh! |

Most of the frustration has been directed at mommy and daddy Evancho and that frustration stems from a desire for her to succeed. If you can't understand that, you are hopeless. disingenuous, phony, its trolling talking points that have been regurgitated under numerous other aliases and the use of the "your", also the use of OTT. M&L were there when she was a child to keep her from working more than she should have, they were there to protect her. Ive been here from the beginning. A forum is about the artist and fans visit these forums, thats what happened initially. If you dont like that fans go on artists forums, don't use forums. There is no such thing as a balanced approach coming from someone who uses multiple accounts and aliases to deflect and gaslight such as acting like a fan, posting off topic links. Fair criticism only comes from those who respect the artist. If you don't respect Jackie then its just attacks and no fan is going to go along with it.Exactly what are they going to do about it? He was trying to become Jackie's "special fan" who had an inside track with Lisa. Lisa denied that he held that position, and then finally, she gave him the boot.&nbsp; There is a right way and a wrong way to act in a forum, 1guest doesn't get that. You don't go to a forum and talk about your cats or politics, you don't go to a forum about a singer and bring up non singers to make the actual singer compete with the nobody. So there was jealousy along with the gaslighting and manipulation campaign started by Mawriter of Jackie fans who some never understood the concept of self-moderation and they were easily manipulated by a woman such as Rick Olsen who had woman issues and Lisa's mods were women who didn't get it and you cant work with stupid people. Stupid people have ruined alot of things. Rick was talking to and others were complaining to Lisa about me who ive had fine convos with Lisa before but if posting a link is an issue, its made up. Karma is a beaut and Rick and others were later removed as they should have been because when you remove someone who was trying to help, then you are left with chaos and I was the one obstacle in the way for that to happen. You are mistaken. Just look around at all the other Jackie forums and name one that is doing well. If this forum was moderated like every regular Jackie forum, it would be fading to oblivion like every regular Jackie forum. Jackie's fan base has dwindled so much that it can no longer sustain regular Jackie forums. This forum survives only because we attract a much wider audience: (1) Jackie fans and anti-fans and everything in between, and (2) posters who enjoy discussing singers other than Jackie. |

I am starting to get why they decided to give BME another go with the 2.0 version. While it does not have a "come out and grab you" hook, it does become a bit of an earworm with repeated listening. Also, while it is most likely about depression, it does not hit you over the head with it. If you were unfamiliar with Jackie's past, you could take the song a number of different ways and read your own preferred meaning into it.
Looking at the streams, after being dead a month ago, it is starting to pick up. I am counting both versions together since a search for the song name could give you either one or both. But together it totals close to 75,000 and picking up steam ever so slightly. I also noticed that five playlists have added the song in the last few days. They aren't the playlists with the largest audiences but that is unlikely until others add you. Still, just being on even a minor playlist can add streams. Playlists are the new radio stations and someone can get hundreds - even thousands - of streams a month just by being added to the right playlists. So she may get a slight jump in her numbers in the next few weeks.
Time to check in on how Jackie is doing streamwise. Twelve or so days ago, I mentioned that there had been an uptick (albeit slight at the time) and the combined versions of BME were at 75,000+ on Spotify. At the time, the original version had been at ~57,000 and the radio version (2.0) was ~18,000. Now the original version is at 58,000+ but the radio version has had a significant stream increase to 42,000+ (more than twice where it was 12 days ago). So now the total has jumped in 12 days from 75k to over 100k. BME2.0 is now the most streamed song of Jackie's in recent weeks ("To Believe" is #2 and her cover of "All of the Stars" is #3).
Now I am well aware that this may be nothing compared to the streaming numbers for Billie, Olivia, etc., but this is significant for Jackie in a genre where she is trying to get exposure. Right now, I would say she has actually begun to exceed my expectations for where I would expect her to be at this point in her transition. She has a single that is just starting to get traction and has some radio airplay. Let's see where this might go.
